Funny how you are using arguments like this to rag on Hooker. Nobody said anything of the sort when Bryce Young, Mack Jones or Joe Burrow were throwing to NFL WRs that constantly burnt DBs and were wide open. Nobody said this when Lawrence or Justin Fields were hitting wide open WRs for huge plays. You are literally trying to put down one of the best QBs we have had in recent history.
Because, I don't care about those quarterbacks?

I'll never get over slime ball cheaters. You can live your life any way you want. 🤡
Unfortunately, our university cheated for their championship in 98. No sense in getting upset to the point of inferring I'm a clown just because you don't like the harsh reality of all sports. Your moral high ground is and always will be irrelevant.

Prove that we cheated. To openly advocate cheating makes you a clown, and a slime ball. So if the shoe fits....

Another honest question. In what game or what particular throw did Hooker do something that gives all this confidence in him? He made the throws that were there I'm not trying to take anything away from him, but most of the plays made were because the recievers were schemed wide open, or tempo and the DB just got burnt. When did he throw guys open or hit a guy in tight coverage, the big throws that need to be made in order to beat some of the better teams on our schedule? Honestly not trolling just trying to understand what others saw

Against UGA HH was 24/37 - 244 yds. More than any QB against UGA that did not win a Heisman. Against Bama HH was 19/28 - 282 yds.

Not mind blowing numbers, but Stetson Bennett went 17/29 - 213 yds against us, for comparison. Hooker wasn't even close to being the problem in those games.

On the year, Hooker threw for 3000 yards, 31 Touchdowns, and only 3 interceptions, and added 616 on the ground.

3 interceptions on 303 attempts.

Check out the last TD pass to Tillman in the corner of the endzone against UK. Or any of these throws - - There are tons of throws into tight coverage.

And most completed passes ever in history are the result of receivers being schemed open, or busted coverage. There is the occasional perfect throw against perfect coverage, but no more or less for HH than any other QB.

If you are just looking for something to complain about, there are plenty of options. QB play is not one of them.

It’s not really cheating if the rules aren’t enforced equally and justly….. the ncaa has shown that their rules doesn’t matter so why should we care….. impossible to prove something over 20 years old but we cheated like crazy during that time.

To be fair, how many college QBs throw guys open and make tight window throws? How often did Bryce Young make throws to Metchie and Williams when they weren't wide open?

A big part of the reason it is hard to scout college QBs is because they don't really make that many tight window throws. A good college QB is a kid who can look in the right spots to hit a guy who is open, and he's open in large part because he's a much better athlete than the guys covering him.

Hooker makes good decisions for the most part and can also make something happen when the play breaks down. That's really about all you can ask for.

I wont argue with this. I dont think Hooker is bad at all.

Hypothetical:
Last year was unique in that there were recruiting restrictions because of Covid. Coaches were not allowed to visit recruits and schools could not pay for official visitors. If a schools recruiting office and many of staff members completely disregarded those restrictions while other schools complied. If the other schools found out and it became very public, the schools administration would have no other choice than to clean house.
I have no evidence- I just believe this is a possible scenario that fits our situation and makes some sense of what has happen.

This is going on year 5 since he was busted…. How long does an investigation like this take…. He will have national championship and retired before they decide anything.

The NCAA released their timeline a few months ago because they were catching heat. Many of the extensions were requested by the school and granted. Memphis and LSU are doing the same thing- trying to buy more time. I know the NCAA rightfully catches flak for their investigations, but they sometimes last long because of the games that the schools play and because the nature of the process.

I believe the “investigation” is done. Just a matter of the school responding and filing in the process.
