I think March Madness this season will truly be mad. Most of the elite teams haven't been elite when they play outside of their home court. Both Auburn and Tennessee have a lot to prove on neutral/away courts. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if we see some team like Arkansas sneak around and win the whole thing. I saw Muss's Nevada squad, in person, make a run in the tourney in a few years ago, and that dude always has teams ready to go in March.
Last year's tourney seemed like a two team race (Baylor, Gonzaga) and everyone else. I think this year is wide open.
To all the Zags haters out there, yeah, Gonzaga didn't show up last night. This Gonzaga team is not as good as the 2017 and 2021 squads. Still, they are unequivocally the best offense in college basketball.
If you haven't been watching ball all season, you might think St. Mary's is overrated. That's a top 5 defense in all of college bb, especially with their glacial pace. I wouldn't want to be matched up with them come March.
For all you bettors out there, be ready to play the underdog MLs all tourney long....
