winning the tourney carries a lot of weight
Typically most seeding is about set before the tourney…..it’s usually more important for teams trying to make the tournament…. Most of the ones that are securely in are not as upset about going home early to rest up and getting ready for the NCAA tournament.

Defense is exceptional everywhere. This a really good basketball team...period.
They can play like a top ten team. And, then play like a mid tier SEC team.

Gotta make some buckets to get to where we want to be.

BHH stepping up, Aidoo looking good. Was good to see Sergio knock a few. Auburn is a really good team, good win.

but our offense isnt. Arkansas and Auburn are good.

Our offensive efficiency is 18 spots BETTER than Arkansas’. Some of our offensive struggles are based on the schedule we’ve had, and the numbers adjust for that.

5th toughest schedule in the country, and the only team higher with a better record is Kansas at 23-5. They got blown out by UK on their home court while we blew out UK on our home court.

dear lord.

Another scenario that’s definitely possible is Vols making a run lets say to the Elite 8…. Rick might want to go out on a great note at 67 or 68 however old he is. Quite the possibility

I think March Madness this season will truly be mad. Most of the elite teams haven't been elite when they play outside of their home court. Both Auburn and Tennessee have a lot to prove on neutral/away courts. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if we see some team like Arkansas sneak around and win the whole thing. I saw Muss's Nevada squad, in person, make a run in the tourney in a few years ago, and that dude always has teams ready to go in March.

Last year's tourney seemed like a two team race (Baylor, Gonzaga) and everyone else. I think this year is wide open.

To all the Zags haters out there, yeah, Gonzaga didn't show up last night. This Gonzaga team is not as good as the 2017 and 2021 squads. Still, they are unequivocally the best offense in college basketball.

If you haven't been watching ball all season, you might think St. Mary's is overrated. That's a top 5 defense in all of college bb, especially with their glacial pace. I wouldn't want to be matched up with them come March.

For all you bettors out there, be ready to play the underdog MLs all tourney long....
