So I’m actually really disappointed in our fan base…..

I’m in Sonoma County for a birthday trip to wine country and yesterday afternoon, while enjoying some amazing wine, I see a VANDY fan walking down the sidewalk!!! I thought there were only like 5, so I didn’t expect to see one up here.

The reason I’m disappointed is because I’m the only one up here wearing the power T and I expected to see someone. Such a shame haha

Right not a chance in hell Riley would go to USC. 2nd I'm not sure Oklahoma would want Heuple either. They'd likely spend BIG and get a more established guy.

Our NIL deals suck.

Remember when they thought the NIL class/program was going to be a big deal?

These guys don’t care about how it works they want someone to hand them a deal and do nothing for it.

One thing I don't get about the NIL stuff, though. Where was the McDonald's money coming from, and where's it going now? Wouldn't/shouldn't the NIL just mean they can use a ziploc baggie or a clear stadium tote bag to distribute the money instead of trying to hide it, or has that all dried up now that it's gone 'legit'?

Like they did with Riley…and Bob Stoops before him? After they booted Barry Switzer back in the day (himself never a HC before his hire), the only “established guy” they ever took a shot with was Howard Schnellenberger…mitigated disaster.

Hey, y'all...hope no one has killed anyone else since last Saturday! I've been on a roller coaster with my hubby. After Labor Day trying unsuccessfully to quit drinking, he used a vacation day for Tuesday then missed Wednesday, too. Wednesday night he prayed for salvation. Went to work Thursday. They fired him Friday because he sent a message instead of calling. He has done it before so they were just tired of the missing. So he had to drink Friday after a struggle. He called someone Monday and had an interview Tuesday and starts Monday. They are working so much OT he won't have time to drink. God has put the ball in his court. I would appreciate prayers for both of us. I am exhausted. I don't even like roller coasters. @nicksjuzunk could you give me the website again please? He may be ready to listen now.

Love you all! Can't even think about football right now though.

I agree. Their stance might change now that they’re joining the SEC, but historically they’d be more likely to promote Alex Grinch to HC or hire a young offensive alum like Jeff Lebby.

All of those things that you said are fact, but you're also leaving out that Heupel got fired as OC at OU as well. Their current head coach is the guy who replaced him in that role.

I actually caught him off guard, which made me think he wasn’t used to being noticed and an actual long time Vandy fan.

Saban WILL retire one day (please, God), and that would put Lincoln Riley in the argument for best coach in the conference.
At 38 years old, in a better conference, with the best coach in history set to move out of the way this decade, Lincoln's runway (and OU's) is enormous.

He would be the dumbest head coach of all time to leave now. For USC??? Ehhhhhhh

USC is similar to the Texas job in what you need to succeed…more than simply football chops. Politics and public relations are bears.
