I am kidding. I do hope HB gets some live game reps on Saturday. I would really like to see what he can do in this offense.

I just hope we beat the dog s*** out of them and all 3 qbs play and they all look good. That way the qb gurus in here can fight all week about who should play

Milton. Have him throw the deep ball at least once every series until he connects.

As an aside, how long has it been since we had so many receivers running in space or behind defenders against a decent defense like we did against Pitt? That gives me a lot of hope for Heupel once he gets the right guy pulling the trigger.

Really random, but it would be kind of cool if we did a game for Pat Summit and the Lady Vols if we did a jersey with some blue in it.

That would be awesome someday but for me personally, no gimmick unis, no checkerboard….simply 60 min of smash mouth football consistently for a number of games. We have been the laughing stock for far to long and father time is catching up with some of us.

How many times was Milton sacked bud ? Have you actually looked. Its about the same in the same amount of games. He has already been sacked 5 times with 2 turnovers averaging about a buck 20 per game passing statistically

One thing I've learned being on this board is that no matter how bad someone sucks, even if stats are shown, previous schools fans say the same, etc. there's always an excuse for it when they get here. We are just going to trust that Heupel will be the one to turn them around. Usually, if someone has the same stats and issues they did from 6+ years ago, they aren't going to change, let alone that quick. I'm glad some of the posters here have that patience to wait for our QB to finally get it after all these years, I truly am.

But I do wonder what some will say if Milton still has these issues and is still trotted out there when our record is 1-5 or 2-4 going into the Ole Miss game

Milton was insanely overhyped by not only our fans but especially the VQ crew almost to the point where i feel bad for him. At one point either swain or priced compared him to Cam Newton. It’s like they see a height & weight that matches and it automatically means they are similar players.ie: Dee beckwith Derrick Henry comparison. There is so much more to playing QB than athletic ability. At this level, everyone is athletic enough to do it in one way or another but it’s the intangible things that make the difference. If Milton was the QB they portrayed he would be starting for Michigan or in the NFL.

Don't know about next three. As long as he performs well tomorrow, which he should given the opponent, he probably gets the start at Florida. At that point it's all going to be performance based imo. Heupel hasn't given up on Milton. He wouldn't hesitate to go back to him if Hooker isn't getting it done. That's all assuming Hooker does indeed start tomorrow which isn't guaranteed imo

I will add to that,he is not a good QB. Michigan is ranked 25th with Cade McNamara. There is a reason.

This staff wants to throw the ball down the field. It is key to their offense. Hooker cannot do that. Milton hasn't hit those guys, but at least he can do it. My hope is that Heup fixes whatever that issue is. But Hooker just limits us so much.
