All right. I’m gonna need to know some details. Thinking about a family trip at the end of the summer.
Whoa, you’re an angry young feller. I assume young since you assume that your opinion on what others should enjoy when listening to music is the only way. I also assume young because you’re angry that others have the audacity to disagree with you. And I assume young because you act like music really matters in the grand scheme of things. It does not. It is just something to enjoy. I enjoy classical music and really don’t care that I only have one friend that does. I can also enjoy a country song that tells a good story without worrying if someone is going to be dissecting it for brilliance in 300 years. Not sure why you’re getting so worked up over this that you want to attack anyone over it.Let me put this plainly, this isn't me being "hateful". This is actually the vanilla version of my true feelings towards modern country music. I can't possibly express how I truly feel because I like being on this board (expressing how I actually feel is what got me kicked off Twitter).
You mentioned successful. Success ain't got **** to do with it when there's no other options. Country radio plays what they're told, like good little robots, and nASSville tells them to play this formulaic, auto-tuned, snap track, same **** different voice nonsense regurgitated and vomited over the airwaves on a daily basis. Fact of the matter is this, in today's world, a VAST MAJORITY (not everyone, just so I ain't being misunderstood) wants what's easy. Those same people want everything dumbed down to the lowest common denominator so that they can feel good, hence the reason why storytelling is on life support in country music. It's all "I got a girl in my 4WD in daisy dukes with a cold beer", rinse and repeat. Maybe mix it up a little here and there, but everyone sounds the **** same and they're all singing about the same dumb ****.
So you'll just have to forgive me for not giving it another chance. I've tried, the young thundercats I work with play that nonsense, and I have to either throw in headphones or go somewhere else because I can't stand that level of nonsense (and trust me, I can put up with a LOT of nonsense).
And I don't care to know any of them personally. If you do, that's cool. Do me a favor: tell them I said their music sucks, whoever's putting their music on country radio should be publically ridiculed, and they should be ashamed (and yes you can quote me on that) of themselves for calling what they do country music. If they personally have an issue with it, they can take it up with me.

With all due respect, ma'am......you make an awful lot of assumptions, and every one of them is wrong. Now please know that I respect you and the things you've been through, as such I won't be responding to you anymore. I hope you and yours have a wonderful day and Go Vols.
You can catch me listening to the following genres: today's country, "classic" country like George Strait and Alan Jackson, rap/hip hop, rock, classical, heavy metal(in flames, blind guardian, Brother of Metal), pop, whatever Ed Sheeran types are, techno, etc. Basically, it depends on my mood.Heck, no, you’re arguing with me just like everyone else.
You’re not a real man if you’re not listening to “outlaw county” and wearing a feather in your cowboy hat.You can catch me listening to the following genres: today's country, "classic" country like George Strait and Alan Jackson, rap/hip hop, rock, classical, heavy metal, pop, whatever Ed Sheeran types are, techno, etc. Basically, it depends on my mood.
Regularly take our 37 to the Bahamas from west palm, not too bad of a trip. Sometimes we stay offshore sometimes it’s a day trip (weather depending usually). Nothing like bluewater and pelagics.Took a medium-sized catamaran out of Key West into the Atlantic, then international waters between the US and Cuba, into the Gulf then back to Key West. On the boat, not seeing land, for 5 straight days fishing 24/7.
Anything sans pop, new country, and or Green Day.You can catch me listening to the following genres: today's country, "classic" country like George Strait and Alan Jackson, rap/hip hop, rock, classical, heavy metal(in flames, blind guardian, Brother of Metal), pop, whatever Ed Sheeran types are, techno, etc. Basically, it depends on my mood.
