Watching it live, thatā€™s the first thing I thought. Looked like he asked about the AU pitcher & Thompson said something along the lines of ā€œnot goodā€ & Tony kinda shook his head. I think if it had been something controversial, Tony wouldā€™ve had more to say.

^^^ This. Unhappy night for the Auburn coach in all respects. Two pitchers hurt and getting bombed late.

When I read earlier he'd already picked USC, having just announced he was entering the portal, my first thought was absolutely tampering was involved, and I don't even think there was an attempt to hide it. If the NCAA wasn't so weak, Lincoln Riley would already have USC back under the microscope.
Between Addison and the ASU LB, theyā€™re not even attempting to hide their tampering. Guessing itā€™s ā€œallowedā€ because the NIL coalition for the school isnā€™t by definition an actual extension of the football program or university.

Would love for NIL related transfers to not get immediate eligibility. Would help keep mid level schools from just becoming farm systems for the regionsā€™ most wealthy schools.

I donā€™t think Vā€™s reaction was one of empathy. He looked upset.

He had been in college four yearsā€¦.. he was ready to go make it or not.
Could see the Bears snapping him up in the 5th. Poles was part of the brain trust that took a ā€œflyerā€ on Trey in the 6th last draft. And he picked Velus yesterday to the surprise of many. Might have the anti-Jerry Angelo in charge!

I would love for us to do it better than everyone else for a change. Fugggg em all.

He had been in college four yearsā€¦.. he was ready to go make itā€¦. It didnā€™t matter whether he was drafted or notā€¦. Not sure one more year of college would have made much of a difference.

I agree. Another serious injury in college and his dream may have ended. He saw how things went with Trey Smith.

Im hoping the Titans take him in the 5th. Play him at LG this year and if we have to kick him out to RT and move Radunz to LT

Trey was actually an opposite example. He doesnā€™t even get drafted if he declared a year earlier.
Trey got taken in the 6th roundā€¦. A lot of times it is better to be an UDFA once you get past the 5th round bc you get to hand pick your teamā€¦. Smith would have made it no matter what bc he is that goodā€¦. I feel that Mays has a good chance to make it as well.

I would appreciate prayers on my end also. Dad has taken a turn for the worse for the last day, even though he did day before yesterday and pulled up from it. Today has been bad. If it keeps being bad, weā€™re going the route of emergency room. Sorry, Iā€™m kinda shell shock at the moment and on 3rd shift.
Prayers for your dad Sis

He got picked by the CHIEFS, who happened to really need him. UDFAā€™s do make it but itā€™s always better to be a draft pick. Kind of like scholarship vs PWO. If you become a star after going undrafted, itā€™s more of an exception to the rule.

That's awesome! That's like what 4 UT players now playing foe the Saints? What round did he go?
The Saints web page lists Marquez Callaway, Alvin Kamara, Shy Tuttle, Bryce Thompson, and Ethan Wolf. So Alontae would be Vol #6 for the Saints. Apparently they like us in the Big Easy.

I had a basal cell carcinoma removed today. I am handling it fine and dermatologist is not very concerned. Wife is a little shook. Would appreciate positive vibes for her and for me. Thanks, Morans

I have had over 47 basal cell cancers. Tell your wife that itā€™s not a big deal at all. Best cancer to have.

My Mother-in-Law has had over 60 of them.

Annoying, but not really dangerous. Just keep checking so that a squamous cell or malignant melanoma donā€™t slip by. Those are the dangerous ones. My first basal cell looked like a melanoma, scared me to death. Actually celebrated when biopsy came back as basal cellā€¦

Mays can make a roster, but let's not pretend he's the same talent level as Trey. He's not.
