Pitching lost this game

I put this loss on me. First I broke a guitar string on my strat. Then I overcooked my porterhouse. I jinxed the team.

Just wondering why TV doesn't use a hard a guy that can throw 104 mph. I know 46 has been a great closer so I don't mean anything bad toward him. Just wondering why TV doesn't use Luc in a closer's role.

Joyce has never really been out in that spot. He can get erratic at times, and the worst thing to do in save situations is to walk anyone. Walsh has done it plenty of times.

Walsh is like 2 saves from breaking the school record. Hes that guy. Just one of those times, it happens.

Yeah, again not sure why you don't use the flame thrower as closer along with Walsh.

There was a time when Walsh hadn't been in that spot either but TV put him out there. That don't fly with me and the assuming he is going to walk people because he can be "erratic at times" like Walsh tonight? All I am saying that's not a good excuse. Everyone close gets thrown in the heat at one point or the other.

Things were off all night, starting with Tidwell's outing. Sloppy game all the way around, for both teams...errors, wild pitches, pick-off's...

It’s also very easy to say this after a loss. As checkerboards said, Walsh is about to break the school record for saves. When you go 50-18 one year and are 39-3 the next, I’d say he’s pretty darn good. You don’t say anything if he got another save tonight. Frank Anderson knows what he’s doing.

Also, I believe Walsh walked their best hitter with two outs, so I believe they were working around him. He had walked 3 in 21.1 innings.

He is two saves away from Tennessee's career save record. Maybe do a little more research next time.

He had a 0.84 ERA going into tonight with appearances in very SEC series. Has a 1.52 career ERA.

I hear what you’re saying but the kid always makes me nervous when he pitches. Do you remember Mark Wohlers closing for the Braves? Same feeling.

To be honest, Joyce makes me nervous. He’s fun to watch, but at times, he has no idea where it’s going.
