I question the validity of adjusting for opposition when he fanned 20.

He was taking the bats out of their hands.

If you put balls in play it’s some measure of chance as to whether or not they’re hits. Strikeouts, however, are not hits.

When our first baseman has less RBI’s than our shortstop, you know there is a problem.

Eh, he has more HR’s. He bats in different spots in the order, including 2nd multiple times. He basically won a Sunday game all by himself.

.350 average vs .280 is pretty significant. Luc does have 11 home runs but with only 25 rbi‘s show he isn’t hitting in the clutch.
