These are their rules, wishes, and desires. The biggest programs have most of the sway over their own governing body. This is what some of them probably want. The ones that are not Miami, Oregon, Texas schools probably. This isn't App St running to Indianapolis. It is the big names that don't like the power shift. Saban, Dabo, Kirby, etc.Magic 8-ball says this could blow up in the NCAA's face. The biggest programs across the country will separate from the NCAA and create 1 large power conference and play by their own rules.
There was already half-serious comments about the SEC being a "Super League" and bringing every major program in. I know y'all remember the jokes back when OU & lil t announced they are joining the SEC.
I had heard someone hooked a small one on KY lake near Mason's Boat Dock and it cut the line before they landed it. "Objection your honor: hearsay." But the story circulated with several witnesses that were pretty trustworthy.Put your readers on grandpa. I said the State of Tennessee. There have been multiple reports in the Tennessee river but those are in Kentucky and Alabama. We count them as a species found in Tennessee even though there has never been a report because of where else they have been found throughout the Tennessee River System and how far North they have been reported
It's not that they aren't native, its that they cannot survive in East TN habitats. Their biology would prevent them from surviving the colder, clearer waters and they'd utterly fail to reproduce if a lot of them were released.Have seen them in middle and East Tennessee, but they are not native to the area.

Prayers for that precious baby girl Wickman. She’s a dollView attachment 453971
So everyone, asking for some prayers please. Our daughter has Metopic craniosynostosis. It is the ridge in the front of her forehead. The skull fused too fast in the womb and will cause complications with brain growth if unfixed. The surgery will last about 6 hours. They’re gonna cut ear to ear and restructure her skull. They said it’s basically carpentry for the skull. She’s gonna look pretty bad initially from the swelling but it will go away in a few days. This surgery will prevent pressure from her brain and allow normal growth in the frontal lobes. It’s 99% successful. We are both comfortable with it as we can be after discussing it with the doctor at Vandy. We will stay in the ICU for 4-5 days. I’ll definitely keep you guys posted with any updates. Y’all guys are awesome man. Much love to all! GBO
"Your own eyes" isn't a scientific verification. Again, I do this 24/7, 365. Almost daily we get pictures: "Look at this cottonmouth I found on *insert East TN lake or river*! Told you! Been seeing them all my life!" And it's actually a common watersnake 9/10 times, and the other 10% is a different species. The Northern cottonmouth is the world's most misidentified snake. There are reports of them from Washington to Maine. Parts of Canada. Lots of people swear them to be on Lake Erie, the Finger Lakes, and the swamps of Southern New Jersey. All misidentified.I have seen them with my own eyes. Once in Crossville and once in South Knoxville.

I care as much about your opinion on this as you do mine. I'm not a dummy or an ignorant redneck. I'm not claiming to have seen Bigfoot and your suggestion that my claim has the same probability as spotting Bigfoot is very condescending. I know what a cotton mouth looks like and I know that I have seen them here. I know they are not native and a population can not be sustained here. I was with a National Parks Ranger named Delozier the 2nd time I saw one. Three of us in the group all agreed on what it was."Your own eyes" isn't a scientific verification. In the history of time, there are more photographs and evidence of bigfoot that are semi-believable than photographs and evidence of cottonmouths in East Tennessee.
**** the NCAA. That is all.Any chance the Ncaa could Ncaa sh*t and hammer us over previous violations when Pruitt was here?I mean if they can't touch us over the Nil could they extract revenge if or when they punish us over the Pruitt bs.Just curious it's UT if they can find a way to screw us they will...I'm not even sure we're in trouble or what's coming of that, but I was curious
You might be surprised how many national fans are against NiL, in various forms.Man, if NCAA cracks down on this, they will push a lot of fans away.
I’ve got an update. So, they cancelled our surgery for tomorrow because they don’t have enough beds to keep her overnight the next few nights. So it is moved to next Tuesday. I appreciate all the love and prayers and would love for them to continue until her surgery next week and will post updates when I can. Much love to all!View attachment 453971

The NCAA is out of touch, they created the mess. What they need is a protest of football fans at their doorstep. No on second thought, if they are more interested in coming down on everyone maybe it’s time power 5 find another governing body. It would be different if the NCAA wanted to play fair by everyone but the truth is they want to keep it how they want it with a few can get a blind eye turned toward them and others they wait to pounce on. Their bias runs deep, it’s pathetic. Emmert and Sankey are one in the same they both need to go. GBO! The NCAA needs to be gutted with new personnel across the board or just dissolve. GBO!Man, if NCAA cracks down on this, they will push a lot of fans away.
It does need oversight, but the NCAA has proven it cannot adequately oversee a 2 car parade. We need a governing body, most people know that. I just want a even playing field. The NCAA is just always behind, over regulators that like to control more than they can handle. They keep messing around and a courtroom will finish them off for good. College football is a great thing, I have no problem with sports that bring in the revenues compensate players. Most players go to class they should be able to make money off their name image likeness if they can. They should still have to pass class and live up to the code of student conduct. We need some common sense leaders, college football deserves fair consistent oversight. No school should be exempt of punishments and they should be consistent no matter what school and person involved. But oversight should penalize individuals more than the school. The way things are done now the violators move on and the school and people not involved get penalized. And the verdict comes in 3-4 years or later? You can’t run anything doing business that way, except run it into the ground!GBO!You might be surprised how many national fans are against NiL, in various forms.
Hell, just 12 months ago many here were against it.
Many folks still think players are amateurs and should be happy with their hay to sleep on, education on how to jump through hoops, and peanuts for being good. While the circusmasters make tens of millions each.
Other fanbases tend to be for/against it based on how good their team is at the NiL game. Sadly not nearly enough believe it merely on principle alone. Though many are switching to understanding, especially a ton of UT fans have switched their position. I love how many Vol fans now see it as a point of principle and basic rights. On the right side of ethics and history.
That's great bud, but at the end of the day it comes down to "pics or didn't happen" because it'd literally be the very first one ever, or another example of mistaken identity. That's literally the only way to prove that the species exists in these locations.I care as much about your opinion on this as you do mine. I'm not a dummy or an ignorant redneck. Hard to separate the two imo (schools and violators) when often it's being either explicitly allowed or at least implicitly looked past. More importantly, doing so completely paves the way for really bad actors. Presidents, chancellors, ADs, and coaches willing to cheat and once caught they just throw the players and/or coaches under the bus, free to start all over again clean. It does need oversight, but the NCAA has proven it cannot adequately oversee a 2 car parade. Nope not at all Spyre is not run by boosters and they don’t put anything in writing that says recruits have to attend UTNCAA issues updated guidance on NIL collectives, boosters
I am assuming we are screwed because it's the VOLS way?
