I come back to the legal issue on the cap. There is no player organization involved in the income distribution negotiation. So they would be arbitrarily picking a number they want to allow. The 9-0 SC has already ruled and guidance provided.

I will quote Justice Kavanaugh, "Nowhere else in America can businesses get away with agreeing not to pay their workers a fair market rate on the theory that their product is defined by not paying their workers a fair market rate. … The NCAA is not above the law." That's a "Don't come at me, bruh." statement if I ever read one.

JMO - the only way a cap goes in that is not challenged and eventually overruled is if there is a players union bargaining for the compensation. If they try it any other way they can expect to pay opponent attorney fees, compensation and damages.

The last part would be a stupid decision by the players. You limit how much you can make by doing so.

That big Chinese hole reminds me of the hole the spiders came from in Arachnophobia. Watch your backs, scientists. Just sayin.

This shows what a suck-up Forde is and how ignorant he is. Mutually Assured Destruction can only be violated by the first party (in this case Saban). The very reason it is called mutually assured destruction is because the attack is so severe that the second party is compelled to respond, whether they want to or not. Otherwise it wouldn't be a deterrent and it wouldn't be "Assured." It is by definition a restraint solely on the first party. It means, simply, the retaliation will be so bad, it won't be worth it for the first party.

He's covering for Saban by spreading the blame, which is entirely crooked Saban's. And everyone knows that if Jimbo had not responded, Forde would absolutely not have criticized Saban. He would have told everybody to listen up, wring their hands in worry and fake-ass moral posturing, and do whatever crooked Nicky is telling you to do.

The seeds have been planted.

What crooked Saban the title thief is doing is: (1) having the recruting rules changed immediately in the middle of the recruiting cycle (!) so he can offer everyone and try to keep people away from his rivals that way; and (2) trying to stir up so much fear, uncertainty, and doubt about NIL that the young men are afraid to commit until they know if their deal will be valid. None of crooked Saban's specific proposals matter so much, so long as he can terrify the student athletes into not committing to his rivals until the air clears. He will prolly have Skankey propose a multi-month NIL moratorium to the NCAA, if tyrannizing the athletes into inaction and submission fails him.

wow.. that back peddle job is impressive. His PR machine got to him.

he straight up is talking out of both sides of his dumb mouth
Yes. :D. And it only works if the media and the SEC office supports it. Otherwise they continue to pile on. It's not skill on his part or on the part of his PR department.
