I have a patient that is a big Arkansas fan. He made me feel better about yesterday. He said that the exact same thing happened to Arkansas last year. Won SEC and tournament then didn’t make it to Omaha.
He said it sucked, but makes getting there that much sweeter making it this year.

The PGA will have it's hands full. Schwartzel took $4m for the win plus $750k for his share of the team winnings. 4.75 million for 54 holes of work and that doesn't include his money from his contract which he gets win or lose and just for playing. The winner of the US open will get 2.5 million for his 4 days of work. I've seen DJ getting $150 million to sign and Phil reportedly got $200 million for his contract. Hell, Kevin Na got 50-75 mil to sign and I think his career...CAREER...earnings was something like $37 million. With that kind of money being paid out, I don't think it will be long before Phil has more company.

I just learned that LIV is for the Roman numeral for the 54 hole format.

Seriously? Smacks of real desperation. Given that Reid and DeChambeau both are going to LIV plus rumors flying that Fowler will commit soon, the PGA will need to do more...a lot more. They'll pay our a lot more money for less golf. Think there are 8 events scheduled. Not surprisingly, 2 of them are at Trump resorts. I'm sure that's a poke in the PGA eye for their withdrawal from a Trump venue when it was politically expedient.

It think only for a specific kind of player…aging who may be above average but wants to be set for life. Guys like McIlroy, Thomas, Spieth, etc. don’t need the money and appreciate the tour for what it is.
