This was my all time favorite bowl game that I was able to attend. It was truly a tale of two nights.

The night before the game was all about obnoxious hurricane’s fans. In your face annoying. The Tennessee fans were just so happy to be playing in the Sugar Bowl that the obnoxious annoying canes fans were pretty much ignored.

The night after that most awesome game was totally different. Not a single miami fan to be found. Wall to wall Volunteers overwhelmed New Orleans. Seemed like every Volunteer fan was there. It was awesome. Home game in New Orleans. Every musician on the street and in every bar was playing Rocky Top. It was glorious. 🤠

Ok, this is a link to usa today fan page for Alabama. Searched for the TN version of the story but apparently it doesn't exist.

Ranking the SEC mascots from worst to first

Except for them screwing up the top two, I can agree with the rankings. Doesn’t surprise me that bama is #1 given all their football successes. Given our lack of success recently, #2 is actually pretty good.

After our 15-0 season this year, the rankings will change. 🤠

I was at that game too and Burbon Street was a sea of orange. I've seen all kinds of orange and white clothing at football games but the guy wearing the orange and white Tux looked pretty cool.

Sciatica pain - anyone ever dealt with it?

Currently in a situation where I'm walking about 10 miles a day on vacation, but I tweaked my sciatica nerve Friday. Ever since, I can only walk for about 5-10 mins at a time before it becomes almost unbearable and have to take a break.

Is there any kind of stretch or a way to get quick relief once it flares up? It almost reminds me of a foot cramp where it gets so bad, but then the right move can get instant relief. I just can't find a repeatable method and have just been sitting for a few mins each time to get it to relax.
I feel for you. I just had a rough week myself.

Lots of lower back, butt, hamstring, calf stretches to loosen up the muscles that have tensed up to "protect" your back. When I had PT for my back that's all we did for a long time - stretched everything on the backside of the body from the mid-back down.

You're just gonna be sore man, I wish there were an easier fix.

We have a few guys that post on here with fusion and herniation tales. Maybe they'll have better advice. I hope.

As much ice as you can stand at the end of the day. My brother had it and wore a brace thing on his lower back that helped, but idk if that's an option while you are on vacation.

Need a 37th????
It's a really good golf trip---most of the guys are from Texas and it's put together by a guy down around Austin. Everyone puts up $50 per round for the skins game so you can win some coin if you're lucky enough to get a skin. Side bets are pretty strong too.

I've got another golf trip lined up in September. This one is a couples trip and my wife does the spa, pool and shopping thing for 5 days :):). This trip is in Florida at Innisbrook just outside Tampa.

Muscle relaxer is what my doctor prescribed for me when mine flared up. Meloxicam is a good anti inflamitory medicine that will help also but that's a perscription medication.

Knee to chest (standing and laying down), ankle on knee then squat down with you back to a wall, lay down and cross your leg over and have someone push your knee and opposite shoulder to the ground, same position but slowly move your leg towards your chest

As PT I have had good success using the McKenzie method.

Welcome - The McKenzie Institute, USA

Two good resources here. I think you can find a MDT certified PT near you on the website.

Edit: try initially to avoid bending and stretching of hamstrings etc.

There are a few stretches that will provide temporary relief, but I could not find a quick fix. Muscle relaxers didn’t help.

I used a lacrosse ball and foam roller to keep my lower back loose. Did PT, chiropractic and inversion therapy which helped heal it. Biggest thing is keep moving. Unfortunately for me it took weeks and not overnight.

Wrote that before the AP comment and other firmer news. I was holding for something more than hysteria about tweet likes. That's in now. Moving on.

Tate was basically telling everyone where he was going without actually saying the words. Our chances had gone from decent to ridiculously thin and it was obvious

The short answer is more money and more people. I want our collective to be the first to 10,000 members. I’ve been told Florida currently has around 2000-2500, we currently have less than that by a decent amount. I do not like losing to Florida in anything.

There’s not a ton or fanbases that can get involved in mass like ours. We just need everyone to mobilize and join the movement! Tell everyone you know to join and if people don’t want to, tell me why and we’ll see if we can address any issues that are preventing people from being involved.

Thanks for letting us know. I just joined the Volunteer Club.
