That may work for some, but the real money will be made by transferring every year, or threatening to transfer. With multiple transfer options added into the player's monetary value, I suspect agents will start demanding re-negotiation rights, or they'll jack up the upfront price tag if an individual player is willing to sign away his ability to transfer.
It will be untenable chaos.

Given the previous court ruling, this felt inevitable. If the NCAA can't restrict NIL compensation, and a player has offers to earn more in a different market, how can you stop them from transferring to where they get paid the most? IMO the only way to stabilize cfb now is to make players employees of the teams, negotiate with the players union on revenue sharing, and ask Congress for antitrust exemption. Eventually a draft will need to be instituted. Otherwise, the transfer bidding will destroy any semblance of team identity. Players and their representatives will quickly learn that the transfer market is the golden ticket.

But it’s not, and hasn’t been. The vast majority of transfers are stepping down a level. Sure a handful each year are able to make upgrades, but most are lucky to just land on a new team.

This was a really great listen with guest Dan Carlin, one of my favorite podcasters. Describes how realignment is taking the baseball route and concerned it will reduce fan interest. He’s a Colorado alum and mentions the UT vs Colorado game in 1990 at Anaheim stadium and said we showed up like a “sea of orange”. Great listen over all if you like Dan.

Dan is awesome. Hardcore History is one of my favorite podcasts.

Tillman quotes:
“We heard the noise a little bit, and we want to go out there and play hard. This year, we plan on winning more games and competing each week.”

“Becoming a complete overall receiver. Working on the little things that people may not notice from watching on the TV. For the other receivers on the team, they are taking the same approach and working on their hands and their running. I want to see the receivers working hard and representing the team well this year.”

“There was still more to prove on the field. There are some things that I need to work on. I’m really excited about the season. We have a lot of guys coming back, and I feel like we have some stuff to prove this year.”

“It’s team chemistry. That’s what it’s all about. Disappearing from football for a couple of days and being like brothers. Now it’s time to work. The fun is out of the way.”

“Becoming better off the line and a better overall receiver. I don’t want to have any weaknesses in my game. I don’t want any coaches being like. ‘This is how we stop him.’ Being the best I can be.”

“Those two [Trevon Flowers and Jaylen McCollough] are the defensive leaders of the team. They are very vocal. The offense follows those guys too. Those guys are great leaders for us, and I’m excited for what they will do this year.”

Yeah...that's really awesome...he suckerpunched a guy in the back of the head that was just walking away holding a clipboard...that is some freakin 🐈‍⬛ 💩 right there. I hope that jackass goes to jail.
From what I understand is that the guy that got hit and the woman that was knocked down…. Was part of a group going after the other ref….

I just watched Harsin on media days. That dude is fake as hell. He's also pretty weird haha

He's not gonna last long unless he starts winning big... I have family ties in the athletic department at AU and apparently one of the daughters has already slept with half the team and his wife lives mostly back in Utah... disfunction junction.

Go on. In all seriousness let’s use this info for some Vegas bets. I think the Auburn win total is 6 for this year.
