I have been reading the post about our offense and rushing the ball. I really think this offense is designed to put maximum pressure on the LB's. Think about it, the offense runs so fast and the plays are so quick it freeze's the LB, the DL have to play their zones or they are beat and will be exploited and the DB have to "cover" on every play so they can't take a "breather". With that pause of the LB's more times than not you will be successful running the ball and passing for that matter. I know we, myself included, talk OL a lot but really if you watch our OL by design they just need to redirect the opponent more than pancaking anybody because things happen so quick, that is why the recruits on the OL are tall and leaner........quicker.

Tis a run heavy system for sure.

Maybe the best possible system for running the ball. Absolutely great scheme for it.

Spread them out wide enough that the LB has to commit/signal whether he's covering pass or playing run. If he drops into coverage, run it. If he commits to run, pass it.

Or...

Spread them out and force the LB out of the box into coverage, and then just run it down their throat.

It's brilliant.

It does put more pressure on the LBs.

The WRs in this system split wider to the sidelines than other systems. In other offenses, the WRs are still narrow enough that a LB can position to read post-snap and decide between pass/run. IN this system, he has to decide pre-snap whether he'll position to play run or coverage. The offense can also often dictate with offensive alignment.

So, I'm not so much one that prefers a run-heavy system. I'd rather have a system/coach that knows how to put the players in the best situations to make yards (and lots of them).

Man, it's good to see you posting. I thought some of those "allegedly" toxic Skittles may have got you.

Not sure why it's called a mermaid view, but it is still pretty cool

That's precisely my understanding. The spread and lack of a lead blocker gets the maximum number of defenders out of the box. The fewer box defenders, obviously the easier it is to run. The LBs are stressed horizontally and have to either get to the edge very quickly or choose to stay in tight. It's definitely a scheme to defeat the LBs afaik.

Can’t find any pairs of tickets for the Florida game on Ticketmaster. Just bit the bullet and bought a pair in section L on stubhub for $175 before fees.

I expect us to be undefeated and the hype to be through the roof so I locked it in today.

Talk about getting lucky. I received an email from stubhub this morning that my tickets aren’t valid. Stubhub let me choose alternative and I was able to upgrade for no additional charge. I’m now sitting in section B, row 18
