Ok, cool story Bro time. We are doing some remodeling of the Death Star and I found out our dry wall guy is VFL QB, Jim Maxwell. Played in 1971. He obliged with an autograph. Possibly, but Callahan always reminds folks that most kids don't focus that much on the current season or games (such as if a recruit is down to us and uscjr...the kid isn't going to pick simply based on who wins that 1 game) and that we, as fans, overestimate that "immediate impact" on the current year. It may be bigger for the 2024 class.

By saying "most kids" you ignore that implies "some kids" do care.

No depth defensively and said that’s not a good recipe for second half of season. Can we play 4 min offense and take foot off gas when needed? Said yea we can score points but that’s about it. Leave defense out to dry a lot. Basically said the way we play isn’t how you win championships. Questioning some of Vols hype and don’t understand some who say Vols are 3rd best in conference.

I knew the extra covid year would have a big impact, but I don't think I understood it until now. The only players that will exhaust their playing eligibility (typically 4 years + 1 year to only play in <4 games) this season are players that started their clock in 2017 (redshirted 1 year) and 2018 (no redshirt). For us, that list is :

If you look at LWS list in the FF, we have 25 (including Harris who isn't on the updated roster) guys listed as SR or RS SR and only 9 of the them are on their last year of eligibility. Now several of those 16 will likely leave at the end of this year anyway, but a lot of them could come back even if they play this whole season.
