I've actually asked about this and get 2 responses. 1. They're happy for him and pull for him. They don't hold anything against him and blame Fuente. It has to absolutely eat Virginia Tech fans up to see Hooker doing so wel at UT
As noted in Eric‘s practice reports the last few practices, Bru McCoy is banged up and did not participate in today’s scrimmage. This has nothing to do with eligibility as someone on campus told us earlier today that there is great optimism that this gets resolved in the next 7 to 10 days or so. We all know how that goes but there is optimism.
Might be an ignorant question. Would being ineligible be the worst thing for him/us? Healthy Bru in this offense across from Tillman is an incredible thought. But maybe a year off to get in shape, get healthy, and learn the offense/pace would be best for him to break out next year. And we have plenty of dogs worthy of PT.- AP
We want him playing…. He is not that out of shape or injured…. He will be fine.Might be an ignorant question. Would being ineligible be the worst thing for him/us? 3/4 years not competing on the field isn’t a good thing. He needs reps…badly.Might be an ignorant question. Would being ineligible be the worst thing for him/us? He already had a year off. . .Might be an ignorant question. Would being ineligible be the worst thing for him/us? Healthy Bru in this offense across from Tillman is an incredible thought. I’d feel like the VT coaches suckI've actually asked about this and get 2 responses. 1. They're happy for him and pull for him. They don't hold anything against him and blame Fuente.
2. They don't care. He wasn't helping VT, lost his spot on the depth chart, so he left and took an opportunity somewhere else. Best of luck.
Haven't talked to one that's mad about it. It's quite surprising.
