I am fine with him coaching Bama in the playoffs. Hell, I hope he wins because afterwards when he walks into a kids house he will have two NC rings on! We just need other staff helping him and getting him to make calls and to be at least on campus this weekend for the visits.

I don't know, I can imagine a lot of things:
- Contract negotiations
- Pizza Party
- Phil needed an afternoon nap
- Boosters trying to fire Phil for wanting Steele
- Phil/Pruitt telling Saban to agree to release Steele from coaching duties immediately or reduce the buyout as compensation
- Mike Leach sailing in on his pirate ship and demanded an interview after taking Davenport hostage

Possibilities are endless really.

Take the extra time and make the right hire. This years recruiting is about shot anyway. Might as well get a coach that we feel can steal some wins while rebuilding

And it's funny, but that's what people here were saying until they went into panic mode.

The very reporters whose every word we've been hanging on told us it would likely be Wednesday or Thursday. We're not even half way through that timeframe yet.
