Guys don't you want him to be able to recruit some of bama's early enrollee commits? he can't do that if he is still working for Bama. He should quit Bama.

If he accepts our job, he’s working for us. He will be recruiting for us immediately unless he’s a total idiot, which he’s not (in that respect, at least). If Bama has a problem with him continuing to be around their team while he is recruiting for UT, that’s their problem.

There is no recruiting class more important than the long-term coach. We tried this already with Dooley and look what happened. We will still finish with a decent class because he is a great recruiter and then he can start killing the '19 class right away. Let him coach the CFP. That will be good pub for the program, too. Not. that. difficult.

K-Mac is made to be nose tackle in the 3-4. Kyle Philips and Jonathan Kongbo can be 3-4 DEs. They just need to add 10-15 lbs. Darrell Taylor is an ideal 3-4 OLB. Same with Austin Smith. And with a 3-4, we can start both DKjr and Daniel Bituli at MLB.

Our front is actually a better fit for the 3-4 than the 4-3.

The problemn is/will be depth.

In 2012, we hypothetically fit a 3-4 on paper as well. But once a few guys went down, that changed quickly.


IMO we’d see some multiple looks next year starting out.

I personally don’t give a rat’s behind what he does with Bama. Recruiting in the short term will suffer during a transition. We need to make the hire and give the fanbase a break. This crap has gone on for far too long.

Yep. I feel like Saban may have realized that telling Kiffin to hit the road right before the NC game wasn’t a good idea. I understand Bama will always be rolling on both sides of the ball due to talent. But at the end of the day the end result was a loss. With all his accomplishments, it’s hard to question anything Saban does. But I was kinda puzzled to hear that a guy who wasn’t even allowed to communicate with players was gonna be calling plays in the Natty. I’d imagine Saban is fighting tooth and nail to keep Pruitt for the playoff.

Like I said, just passing along what Packer suggested.
I know Phil sent the e-mail to all the other student athletes apologizing for basically not having time for them immediately. Don't follow basketball closely and not sure if PF or Bev would do that out of respect or whatever.

It's not my theory.
If it ends up not being Pruitt, Packer is an idiot. If Pruitt is announced tomorrow...

Im just trying to throw out what I bet CPF is thinking. He hates the Tide and I bet the thought of his head coach in Bama gear pisses him off. LOL
