I was very critical of Ainge when he was here because he always shied away from contact.
He's literally never would take a hit, never was sacked or scrambled. They are very comparable in that regard

Ainge was coached by Cut to throw the ball away. So that’s what you saw his junior and senior year. You didn’t see that his freshman year before he got hurt. His sophomore year was a disaster on all accounts by the OC/QB which resulted in him getting fired.

Looked back at Ainges stats as a sophomore. Dang Bass would be applauding rumors of him transferring.

46% completions
5 TDs
7 INTS

Just awful. Had just about the same amount of attempts that QD had this year

Was completely mismanaged and it got the OC/QB coach fired.

I shouldn't have been so critical of his throwing the ball away. I remember hammering him leaving the Georgia Dome that night.
I just didn't respect him as a QB but over time I have realized he was pretty dang good.

Standing in the pocket and taking a hit was the very reason he got hurt...on a desperation play...before halftime.

IIRC, he injured his ankle his sophomore year and it never really got better. Played hurt the whole season. I vaguely remember that being the beginning of his struggles with substance abuse as well.

So, I've looked back through 4 or 5 pages, and there is only talk about QD. Is he gone for sure (and if so, where?), or is it just rampant speculation, and a foregone conclusion?

Rampant and unfounded speculation by one or two hopeful posters, which means it is a foregone conclusion in their own twisted minds.

To the rest of us? No smoke, no fire.

He prefers the Clemson crotch grabbers..

It's a little more than that. Apparently EA said he doesn't expect him back and he is close to QD.

Not at all but there is a happy medium. Can't take too many like JG and can't throw the ball up for grabs to avoid sacks like Ainge and QD did on occasion

Ainge did it once. He saved our butts multiple times by keeping in mind down and distance and avoiding sacks. He did not scramble a good deal, but he could move in the pocket very well. He also showed athleticism and effort in chasing down a CB after he had picked him off and tackled him around the one. Bama did not get a touchdown and we won that game. That is the last time that we beat them, if I recall.

He’s not for everyone, but I’ve been listening to Tony Basilio for 20+ years and can’t imagine getting through Tennessee sports without him. You can find him on Tune In radio and he has his own app as well. His regular show is on 11-1 every day, and he usually runs over online. After games he’ll do 3-5 hours commercial free until all hours of the night. Jayson Swain is another good option in the mornings. If you want a flavor of the State Run Media, I’d recommend the daily SEC Country podcast that Josh Ward does.

I like Basilio. The best part of his show, to me, are his guest hosts and callers. He has loyal listeners who have a lot of knowledge. The sports animal has some decent shows but the callers are, in general, numbskulls.

Is there a way to project a recruiting class ranking? People are freaking out because we only have 10 commits and our ranking looks bad.

I'd like to know where the class ends up if you were super pessimistic and added 15 3* prospects.
