I don't tweet them or follow them but, CJP said to touch the recruits if you can. I don't have a problem with people tweeting stuff like, GBO, VFL, ect. But I do think its weird when folks try to carry on conversation and try to sell the program like they are a coach.

I don’t tweet or follow them either, but I don’t have any problem with people tweeting “GBO” or “Go Vols” to them. If that’s all you tweet, it won’t hurt the program and could only help (unless you’re constantly harrassing them or something). Unfortunately people don’t stick to trivial positive comments like that.

Is there a way to project a recruiting class ranking? People are freaking out because we only have 10 commits and our ranking looks bad.

I'd like to know where the class ends up if you were super pessimistic and added 15 3* prospects.

although our avg star rating is higher than about 15-20 teams ahead of us. it'll fill out.

Oh for sure. We'll likely end up with 8 4 stars and 7 3 stars or something like that.

I'm just wondering if there's a way to simulate it. And in the simulation, I'd like to see the most pessimistic simulation in which we only get 15 3 stars.

I know 247 has a class calculator where you can add prospects to output a total score. Then you could compare that to past years rankings or other teams this year to determine a potential ranking.

Okay, so I just went and did this. I added 15 random 3* prospects from the state of Tennessee and Kentucky.

That put our class point ranking at 229.60 with 247.

Looking at lasts years final class rankings, that would've been good enough for the 20th ranked class and would have only been 8 points off from Butch's 17th ranked class last year.

We're fine, people. We're going to get a fair share of 4 star prospects and very likely end up in the Top 10. Relax.

Interesting about Currie just totally going off radar for that long. Did he lose his mind?

He knew his time had gone kaput. Bev was calling him to the principal’s office. Leach was a Hail Mary to save his job. If he had done it before Doeren, it might’ve worked for him.

I'm not sure Dave Doeren isn't a bigger head scratcher candidate at #4 than Greg Schiano was at #1.

It feels to me that they went to Doeren because they thought they could get him and end the whole thing. He wanted out of NCSU bad. Luckily he decided against it at the last minute.

Uh, how would you know? He has not been healthy in two years.

Your bottom appears to be hurt. Yes he has played and has looked the same since his freshman year.I know he was injured this year. It's jmo man, doesn't make it right. You should take a lap.

Nice little nugget: "Fulmer, per no less than 12 sources, does not seek out the job, but agrees to take over UT’s coaching search and assume the A.D. role."

I love that because it throws it right in the face of Thamel.

(or whatever his name is)

Fulmer knew we needed someone who would be a hard working recruiting, with a staff of good coaches on both sides of the ball to coach them up. I think he made a great choice.

I think our horrified reception probably caused Doeren to back away. If he had brought on Leach, most would have been fine and he'd still have a job (If Bev would have signed off on it)

They are saying we never had Brohm and Hyams totally blew that?

If Currie's first (or second or tenth) hire is Schiano, he needed to be sabotaged.

But it's nice to know Fulmer wasn't gunning for it.
