I’ll always be grateful for him ending the stupid streak because it gave me my favorite personal moment as a fan ever.

But we really should be riding a 4-game winning streak over Florida and we could have been a playoff team in 2015-2016. Considering I’m no longer convinced Tennessee will ever it make it back to the elite ranks, it hurts all the more.

Gah, we really had every opportunity to get out of the whole we’d dug. Hope Pruitt is up to the challenge.

He was never cut out for big-time SEC football. He might succeed at a program like Vandy, where the expectations and pageantry aren't nearly as high, but he'll never be successful at a big-time power 5 school. The success he had at Cincy convinces me that he's a good fit when he's swimming in a small pond.

I've learned my lesson on prognosticating potential success for our HFC based upon anything other than on-field results. Everything else is filler, so long as we mother-effing WIN.

The interviews are fun to read.
The practice reports are interesting to see.
The carvan stops are good PR.
The offensive/defensive philosophies are important.

...but not as much as WINNING.

That's all I care about anymore.

Just. Win.

Sounds harsh, and I mean no offense, but JG 2nd team SEC this year is extremely laughable to me at this point

I mean... there is a very real chance he’s is not even a starter here

Hey guys. Just another update for my situation. Thanks again to everyone who helped out. I do now hold temporary sole custody. She gets to visit them for 3.5 hours on wednesdays and every other weekend she gets to keep them as long as she keeps them away from her boyfriend. Which there is still a no contact in order keeping him and my kids away from each other. Your contributions helped tremendously and I cant thank you guys enough.

Great news POA!

It’s a stretch, but I have visions of a Crompton-level turnaround just from coaching. He’s had two years with basically no position coach to speak of and now finds himself with far superior coaching. I don’t think anyone could’ve looked good last year, yet I saw more flashes out of him than I ever did out of bounce-pass-Crompton in 2008. He’s had the ability and the opportunity, just not the coaching. Now he has all three.

I’m not writing off his career, but I’m certainly not anointing him either.

Firmly in “wait and see” mode

I’ve defended JG plenty this offseason and I don’t really see it hapoeneing either. He’ll do well to win the starting job and keep it throughout the season. Choosing him to win any of the All-SEC teams seems odd when UGA, Bama, Auburn, MSU, maybe even Mizzou return what they do this year.

If JG can win the job and keep it heading into 2019, then he may be in position for this kind of talk. Wayyyyyy too early at this point. We’ve gotta see him learn to stop taking so many sacks and start making quicker reads against SEC opponents before ev n entertaining this kind of talk.

I am accused of a lot of things, but nobody that knows me would call me a quitter. If I was a quitter, I sure wouldn't still be a Vol fan even when I'm pretty sure we are going to get our teeth kicked in.

I was getting at you calling others quitters like those on the football team. Anywho, this little discussion has passed.

Right? It would be harsh if the sec to make him 2nd team when he wins the Heisman.
