I don’t really understand this. Bev has done a pretty good job thus far. I am going to be really interested in seeing what reasons they put forward for the firing/ if a lawsuit stems from this.

Can't afford three meals and a warm bed? Are you physically unable to work? If so I'm sorry. If not, maybe spend less time on a forum.

Just giving you a hard time. 😁 But seriously who spend $150 a month on coffee?

Bev fired Currie, hired Fulmer and kept hundreds of jobs on campus.

It’s not a good thing they let her go - even if she was pretty awkward publicly.

It’s all setting up for Bill Haslam to take DiPietro’s job and make his own hire.

I know you were. But it occurred to me when you said it that I might be stepping on toes of folks who can't work. As for the coffee, yeah, me neither. My machine works well.

Pruitt was on 104.5 midday today and a poster on VQ shared this, thought it was good...

We haven't had a coach since Fulmer that understands, and can operate within, the culture of a rabid SEC fanbase.

He'll have the next couple of seasons to prove that he's able to handle the job but, for now, JP seems more adept to SEC football in almost every way than Kiffin, Dooley, and Butch.

I just hope he's able to translate all of this to W's. We've been down this road four times before. I like what I hear but I've learned all the off field fluff doesn't mean a thing unless we can hang with UGA, Bama, and Florida.

If there's one thing that gives me hope, it's Fulmer being back...

Aaaaannnd Davenport just got fired. WTF?

She stood up against the Haslams on the outsourcing deal and then popped their little lapdog John Currie.

RIP

Yep. I think the outsourcing thing was a bigger deal to them than the football aspect. Wouldn't shock me if that propsoal was reintroduced in the relatively near future.

I think this has a lot to do with being the fall guy (gal) for Hiring Currie in the first place. Even though she was being told what to do.

The administration Chinese fire drill is still not settled.

think it's worth waiting to see who her replacement is before we really figure out what was behind her dismissal?

But she hired Currie.. over Blackburn and Fulmer.

I came to really like Bev myself and seemed like she was kindof a nut but started to really understand after what happened last fall.

Oh lawd, unlawful termination lawsuit forthcoming.

Good. She should file a lawsuit. Maybe Volnation needs to have another uprising and revolt again. She stood up against the Haslams...we need to have more like her on The Hill.

My guess is that she signs a contract just like a coach does. There are buyouts or liquidated damages usually in the contract. If UT terminates her, she just collects. Shouldn't be a lawsuit.

Wonder how long she's known. Her Twitter is pretty busy until the 28th and since then just a single tweet on the 30th.

Isn't DiPietro retiring soon? He better not be involved in the search for a new Chancellor as an outgoing President. The new President should make the hire.

What a cluster.

Did you hear some of what Pruitt said to the Rotary Club? His perspective on life is driven by his experience as an elementary school teacher in Alabama dealing with poor kids. I assure you he doesn't gives two chits about "what the fans have been through".

I did, and it was great. Mad respect for Pruitt.

But I'm not even going to address this stupidity of inserting that context to a separate conversation of him talking about patience as fans of a football program. It's dumb, and quite frankly, insulting to the genuine experience he relayed at the Rotary Club.

That would be interesting to know but her twitter would slow down this time of year anyway with Spring winding down.

The new president will probably be Bill Haslam.
