How does this have anything to do with player divide? If that divides players it's a lame excuse they are usuing as they should worry about being better st football

Did you actually interview Aunt Bev before you hired her Joe? It seems like the issues you are firing her for, poor communication skills, might have come up during the interview process.

Now, as the President of the Tennessee University system, do you vet the people you place in charge of the various universities or do you just take the resume that the Haslams give you and hire that person. If that is the case, I just wonder why the Haslams couldn't just make the hires themselves? So I gotta ask Joe...

I believe "player" in this instance means people in high positions at UT. I had to read it again to understand it. Not literally our football players.

This. And nobody can convince me that Coach is okay. That family hates anything they haven't appointed themselves. Personally, I want Bev to fight this thing tooth and nail.

Wrong? That's your opinion, not a fact. Clearly many of us, with IQs over 50, agree with him.

And you're wrong. He didn't put third world "suffering" in the same context as Pruitt's reply. He put in the context of the reporter who ask the question about we poor "suffering" fans.

And his point, since you clearly missed it, was that it's insulting (another of your words) to think we fans are truly "suffering" because our poor fb team hasn't done so well lately. In the meantime, you want to talk about suffering.... A little much needed perspective.

I’ve had several talks with some people at UT, and the Haslams have so much influence. Their power is far reaching and their grasp is tight.

The coaching rebellion did little to loosen that grip. In fact, they have tightened said grip.

At the end of the day, the Haslems are in control. If they want you “gone”, then it’s just a matter of time.

For the life of me, I still cannot understand why all of the other power boosters and other boosters cannot come together and go up against the Haslams, and tell them to leave the University. I know it is not that simple, but if you bring together all of the other big power boosters as well as smaller boosters, then surely the money that they donate well exceeds what the Haslams donate.

So, the solution is not going to come from those whose jobs are on the line, but from the outside?

Maybe, but they didn't get their outsourcing plan, they didn't get their guy in as head coach, and they definitely didn't get their guy in as AD.

These may be little victories in the grand scheme of things, but they are something, and they wouldn't have even happened just a few short years ago.

Almost as ironic of Joe telling Bev she sucks at communicating then putting her in the communications department to teach kids how to communicate.

I just read on Facebook on a post about Bev firing (Yes, Newt, I know) Big Jim was threatening to pull his donation so stadium expansion was stopping..

So.. any truth or fake news?
