How in the hell is that going to hurt the future?
The 19 class size is already small. With every additional grad transfer we take it goes down by 1. I'd much rather play guys like taylor at CB and have him experienced and loaded for bear in the fall of 19 than play some grad transfer and be able to sign as many guys as possible.
Imo we can add 15 grad transfers and we aren't winning more than 8 games. No discernible difference in winning 6 7 or 8 games when it comes to the future.
On the recruiting trail, 8 wins looks way better than 6. It shows the program is turning around quickly and that Pruitt and company are for real. Plus it means we have beaten some of our SEC rivals in year 1, which is not the expected outcome.
The fact that he is an Olympic/Compound lifts guy caught by attention. Once he referenced Bill Starr I was sold.
Maybe I should rephrase my op. I don't think any amount of grad transfers are worth 2 games difference. Maybe they win us one more game but I am not sold on that either. So in other words I don't think it's worth it to go from 6 wins to 7 or from 7 to 8.
Arguing with you is no different than the innocuous bs Im trying to avoid so this will be the last time I discuss this. There is an off-topic forum and entire forums devoted to the sports youd like to discuss. Id rather read about football here. Its a few link clicks away and literally the exact same thing. You can go there and discuss. Everyone wins. I dont want to have to sift through to find something relevant to the thread title herego the point of other forums. Youre not a mod. Just scroll through if youre not interested is the reason why a lot of good posters dont post anymore. I shouldnt have to scroll past and have a search party to find something I actually came here to read in the first place.
The first team Lebron took to the finals was worse than any team Jordan ever played on...and he did it in his 4th season.

I really like the fact that Pruitt and his staff dont seem to have given up on this season, call it season 0, were young, not enough talent, and all. They really seem to be working towards eking out as many wins as possible next season. They really arent just trying to get to 6 wins. Its very refreshing.
I would agree with that. Might be why they are looking to add a JC OL instead who will count against the 18 class and has 4 to play 3. Plus, isnt the 19 class overall a bit down with 20 being the next big recruiting year? Either way Im sure they have a plan and know what they are doing. 7-8 wins would be great this year.
