i wouldn't speculate one way or the other based on what's been posted here so far.

but that it got this far, and if found not guilty, why stick to the story all this time?

don't get it. just "that's my story and i'm sticking to it"?

guess it will come down to do they believe her and drae or AJ, Curt and MW?

I was going off the testimony of their key witness. doesnt sound like beyond reasonable doubt.

I want to see the text messages from the 2 phones. The accuser’s phone, and the accuser’s friend’s phone.

The 2 phones that disappeared not long after the alleged encounter.

Should be easy enough for the defense to get a subpoena for the transcripts. Should it not?

it's been a huge legal battle. State doesnt want them used. which is suspicious to me.

Yeah.

Judge: "I'll allow the text message transcripts."

Prosecutor: "I object your honor!"

Judge: "On what grounds?"

Prosecutor: "Because it is extremely damaging to my case."

Everyone agrees that Sept. 22 is the biggest game of Pruitt’s first season right?

Needs to set the tone early, plus we get them at home

What was the decision?

TN Supreme Court decided that phone text messages are admissible.

The problem is "do the phone companies still have record of the text messages in this case?...as it was about 3 years after the 2 girls ditched their phones when this ruling came down.

Also, the KPD/district attorney never tried to obtain the phone records from the 2 girls phones.

So, was listening to Swain Event today. Austin Price was on and said something about us having "over 2" new commits by the end of the month. Ideas/speculation on who they are??

If you haven't read AJ Johnson's accuser's friends cross examination testimony from Today, I will try to summarize:

ALL 4 went into AJs room
AJ and accuser were "getting it on"
M. Williams tried to convince accuser's friend to "get it on"
Accuser encouraged her friend to "get it on" with M. Williams
Accuser's friend wasn't into group sex and left
Accuser's friend told M.Williams she would find another girl for him before she left room
Accuser left the room 15 minutes later (after an apparent 3 way)
Accuser's friend said her Mom bought her a new phone 2 day later and she threw her old phone away.
Accuser's friend had no reason why she didn't back up her contacts/messages/photos from her old phone to her new phone.

Drae Bowles is going through cross examination now.

This looks like it will come down to he said/she said about the 15 minutes. IMO, both the accuser and accuser's friend ditching their old phone will probably decide this in AJ's favor.

I'm no expert but their text messages can be subpoenad in multiple ways.... As well as possible cloud files being subpoenad, which I am sure happened. So I don't know if just trashing the phones would keep those messages hidden.

Which is exactly why this should be taken seriously. I know fans don’t have much power with something like this but we have to make it clear we don’t condone the systemic culture that was building in the athletic department that allowed all of these things to occur.

I know every single person in here, when asked, would say rape is bad. It’s not up for debate. But we have to be forcefully against this idea that it’s OK to turn the other cheek as long as the football team is winning (and the offending players were disciplined). Because that’s exactly what happened in 2014. We (fans) swept it under the rug because we thought Butch Jones was a winner. It’s inexcusible and we all have a small part in it.

Rape is bad, but let the judicial system handle it first before you jump to conclusions. You are saying things as if they are fact. That’s what the courtroom is for, not a message board.

I am glad Butch is gone, and he may not have handled it well (I don’t know, I wasn’t a part of it). People may not like what I am saying, but this is what I do for a living. People get their day in court for their peers to decide if it was a crime or not.

It is data. I'd be willing to bet Caleb's summer house that there is a large building somewhere with many servers housing those messages.
