If I wasn't a Vol fan I'd think it was laughable that Vol fans are complaining about this QB starting while much of the rest of those watching are talking about how well he's playing. (A couple of questionable plays don't make a bad game or bad QB) And it would be hilarious to me that they're even discussing replacing this HC in the middle of his first year. But since I am Vol fan it's not funny at all. It's really sad.

Great post. The more I become seasoned with this fan base the more I realize I really dislike how much we love to eat our own. It disgusting as well as sad to be honest

This explains why you are sprinkling salt and pepper all over Banks earlier this week I guess?

He did a good job of taking what he was given last night. USCe played to keep us in front and give up no big chunk plays. He didn’t get much help on the deep ball either. I know he missed a couple of throws, but that may have been rib related. I have not been his biggest fan, but he has gotten better all year. Chryst hasn’t been able to hit the broad side of a barn according to everyone that covers the team, so the Alabama game seems like an anomaly.

So how many of our JRs leave to the NFL this year

Just a thought that has crossed my mind.

South Carolina lost a game due to hurricane. They still have to play Ole Miss , Florida, Chattanooga, and Clemson. Going into the game last night they were 3-3.

They had to have a win last night to get a bowl game.

SEC gave their all last night

Zero penalties, obvious missed calls.

Wtf are you talking about?

Only thing I said about Banks was I didn't buy he was going to play and I was right. So no idea what you are saying

2 for 9 yards if I recall correctly. But your point remains.

There’s really no joy left to be had this year.

I don’t even care if we beat a top 20 Kentucky team. That’s nothing to be proud of lol. The last small victory to be had was the pounding of Muschamp and we couldn’t pull it off.

I’m bummed fellas.

Smh

There has already been joy and plenty of time left for more

Good grief

I’m a contrarian on this a bit - I don’t think Hamilton was that bad. Kiffin was a good hire. Circumstances no one could have predicted in December of 2008 led to him getting the USC job. There was no way to prepare for it.

The real issue was the Dooley hire. I preached and preached to give David Cutcliffe the job - or to give it to Kippy. But I understand why they didn’t at the time.

Chris Lowe said we would have basically gotten right back to peak Fulmer success had we hired Cut in January 2010. And he wanted the job. But Hamilton and other money people thought they could do better and that Cut was an extension of Fulmer. So they slow played him and he said thanks but no thanks.

With 3 SEC games left, I think we win a close one, win one convincingly (Vandy), and lose one badly.

6-6.

6-6 would be about right. Need those extra practices and whether fair or not will be measured against other Vol coaches year 1. The optics of a 5-7, Bowl-less season are bleak.

I thought he turned it down because Hamilton wouldn't let him bring his own staff

Quick question- been going to a game a year since I graduated in 2002. However, I haven’t been to campus since 2015. Went to Bristol in 2016 and missed a game last year for the first time.

I am taking my 8 year old son to his first game and bringing my Dad this weekend. What is the strip like now? Any decent places to grab lunch and a beer? Trying to eat within walking distance of campus to get to the Volwalk.
