Someone posted the other day that they thought Grant Williams might have a disappointing season.

If he’s really developed a 15-20 foot jump shot as has been reported...watch out.

If we have two guys in the running for it come the end of the year, then I think we will all be very happy as to how the season has gone.

This is going to be a different type year. Expectations thru the roof which means with every loss many will act as if the world is coming to an end.

I predict we have a great year but many will complain and last year will be seen as a better regular season

That was me.

Just a gut feeling. Not a prophecy. Based on how much hype and expectations that surround him.

I want him to have the best year ever.

The key for basketvols is to keep their defensive intensity at the high level it was at for much of last year. That’s our ticket

Depends how the season goes and how the tourney goes. If we lose to a better team I think we'll all be okay. If we lose to a Michigan-esque team on a bs flop again, I might lose it.

This is a good team. Even the walk ons were playing well last night. Barnes is an exceptional coach. We are lucky to have him. (Edit: that said, I will not meltdown if we don't make the final four. I know we have the right coach and will be playing in the tournaments again)

Getting to a Final Four is incredibly difficult. Not only do you need to be a really good team, but a lot of times luck and the way the ball bounces needs to be in your favor.

I hope fans don’t see this as a Final 4 or failure type year and enjoy it for the ride that it will be.

that and you need a little luck in the match ups you draw in your bracket as well.

I won't consider this season a failure if we don't make it to the final 4. I just think this team has all the right pieces to be that first team to get there. Now... I will be disappointed if we dont make it to at least the sweet 16.

Taking in account the nature of college basketball and the structure of the March tournament I think it’s pretty stupid to expect your team to make the final four. I know we have a good veteran team that has the talent and makeup to make a run.

Virginia got beat by a 16th seed last year. You just have no idea how things will play out come tournament time.

I think realistically we can expect a Sweet 16 and anything on top of that is gravy, so for me it's Sweet 16 or bust, that being said I think we have the talent, coaching, and quality leadership from the upperclassmen to go all the way to the Final 4/ win the whole thing.
