I didn't even know they were on last night. I can't wait for this season and I had given up on UT basketball until they hired CB. We actually have a UT team to get us through the winter now. Winter have been so boring for me cause I lost interest in NBA years ago. LOL

I'm guessing you never heard of him before today.I have a friend at work who follows college basketball much more closely than me who says he is their best player and that they are over rated even with him. So, I will choose to believe my source who I have known a long time and got can believe yours. For the record, @hotcypress might be right. I'm not discounting what he said simply because he doesn't agree with me.

Come on dude lol. Players developed their selves really....you’re only having this stance Bc hating butch is the cool thing to do. That doesn’t even make sense lol.

You know we had some of the best special teams in the country every year under butch... you know which portion of practice butch took the most control of and practiced the most...that’s also one of the main reasons he’s at bama. He is a damn good special teams coach.

He took a top 5 OU team to the wire, dominated a decent NCstate team while at Cincy. It definitely wasn’t because of talent. Also beat VT his final year and MSU his second year at CMU

Butch Jones is a good special teams coach. I’ll give you that. He could be hired somewhere to coach that.

It’s still Florida in the swamp... we don’t have butch anymore and we laid the biggest egg of the season against Florida at home...

He had something like 15 chances inside the red zone to make up for the drop by calling a running play for Kelly, but that didn’t happen.

If butch would stick to that and just focus on STs and recruiting and give free rain to two coordinators then he would be fine. He just wants to control every aspect of his program like no one else I’ve ever seen. It’s why shoop hated his time here.

He had ridiculous talent. If you can't see that Butch Jones is piss poor at developing guys you should look no further than this steaming pile of a football team we've seen the last two years. He's by far more responsible for it than anybody.

I mean hate butch until the cows come home but he’s still a decent coach. The wheels...actually the wagon exploded here. Doesn’t mean he’s not worthy of another chance elsewhere.

I would not hire him because he lost the team and burned a ton of bridges on his way out.

Players put the ball on the ground 5 or 6 times. Coaches piss away 16 opportunities inside the red zone by failing to call a single run play with one of the better backs in the SEC at the time.

Obviously Mullen has them playing at a much higher level than Mac. So what? If Butch gives the ball to Kelly in the first half we win easily. But he’s a terrible coach so he didn’t do that

Who were some of those NFL players that you think Jones had a hand in their development here? It's not the craziest thing in the world for a guy to be self motivated enough to get better mostly on his own.

No. Butch lied to get top ranked guys here. He couldn’t win with them or develop them. Then players saw through that and most of the top ranked guys stopped coming, with very few exceptions like smith. We can clearly see that in the last two seasons can’t we. If he was a good evaluator, these guys we have playing now would be great. But they’re not.

All of them... he brought them into his program and his staffs. Derek Barnett isn’t the player he is now without strip. Kamara isn’t the player he is now without Gillespie.

I promise you he's not a good enough coach to consistently beat teams with superior talent.
