Well at the end of the day I’m glad we won. And I hope UK has a big let down game next week and we have a lively crowd. There’s still a small part of me that thinks we can sneak one from them and go on to make a bowl game. But I’m also prepared to watch us lose these final 3... the injuries are mounting and I’m not sure we can run the ball or stop the run against conference foes...

LSU is still the same team it was under Les and it showed again today. They have the players to play with Bama, but they have absolutely no creativity on offense and can’t recruit the game changer at QB.

Concerning where we are right now - I agree with LWS.

Pruitt has an all star staff of coaches and recruiters. I think he deserves a full 6 years before we even think of making any moves. If we give him st least 6 years then I don’t see any way possible that the cupboards would be bare for the coach who would follow. That is NOT to say we can’t judge him harshly along the way, but the dude knows football and he knows what top talent looks like. Let him get his guys here and I think we’ll like what we see on the field.

Concur!!

Recruiting is going along as well as anyone can expect.

Late start last cycle and get a solid but not great class.

Start out slow this cycle with quite a bit of 3 to 4 stars, but develop relationships and see improvement on the field. Now starting to get in on the higher rated and top quality prospects. Expect a top 10 class.

Next year, we should see a significant improvement on and off the field with more players all in on the S/C program and better players on the field with real coaching and an overall culture change. Finish with a top 5 class next year.

We will be competing sooner than expected. Next year we should be in the 7-8 win range and competing for the SEC champ in year 3.

We don't fully realize how bad Butch Jones was as a coach just yet along with Currie as AD. We will soon.

Pruitt is a football man through and through as well as Fulmer. Refreshing.

LWS can GTFOH.

If Pruitt is still struggling in year 3/4 he won’t be here any longer. This isn’t UK, Vandy, Washington State, ect. He gets a top 15 class basically handed to him his first two classes. Signing a top 35 class isn’t considered successful for us. We have a top 5 salary for our staff in the COUNTRY. This isn’t the 70’s where most players come in tiny and take 3 years to contribute. If we sign a top 10 class and go 5-7 next year he is not the guy to bring us back to where we want to be and it doesn’t matter how many recruiting classes we give him

Yeah, this isn’t a staff full of scrappy underdogs. This is one of the highest compensated staffs built specifically for recruiting. Top ten classes should be the absolute minimum of expectations. If the class of 2019 isn’t a top ten class, huge red flag.

"maybe 4" ?? I want Pruitt to have at least RS Srs of which he recruited before we even think of changing leadership. I mean of course if he gets his talent here and we miss bowl games in years 3 and then 4 there's no way he'll be here for a year 5, but I want him to get his players. We need stability.

Harbaugh looked like a bust at Michigan for a year or two there, but they were committed to him and now look at them.

And of course I know that Harbaugh came in with a different pedigree and resume, but its not like Pruitt's resume is piss poor. Look at the coaches who jumped ship to join the man for his first gig. That speaks a lot imo. Give him time.

Are we projecting a top 10 this year? Realistically?

Who plays them in our place? We can’t drop them unless the SEC adds teams or gets rid of permanent cross division rivalry games. Or we somehow convince another SEC team to play them instead.
Move Auburn to the east and Missouri to the west, like it should be. We play Missouri every year as our cross division rival.

Harbaugh looked like a bust because people were dumb. He lost like 17 starters going into year 3, there’s no reason ppl should have been calling him for compete for a title. He overachieved year one and year 2 did just fine. I’ll gladly take 9-3 (one fluke loss to top 5) and 10-2 year two from Pruitt
