Will say this...I understand the hate from some. Actually embarrassed sometimes because it could feel like front running. However, been a fan since before the first National Title.

Still love my Vols and nothing compares to TN football. Thrilled TN is top 10 in B ball.

One of the greatest leaders of a team I have ever seen in college.
That was Johnny Dawkins team that lost to Pervis Ellison's Louisville team when Ferry was a freshman. But Ferry was a damn good college player, just didn't have the athleticism and/or size to be a great player in the NBA.

Grew up trying to be JJ Redick on my parent's driveway hoop. Have yet to see a college shooter as good as he was since. Special combo with him at Duke. No other school/coach would've gave him the leash to shoot the shots he did.

Most hated college bball player this millennium. Hansbrough from unc is a close 2nd...

The other for Duke was Tyus Jones. Was an amazing leader as a freshman for that last national title.

I was talking about Battier, Dog. He's probably the greatest leader I've ever seen on a college bball court. He was unbelievable when it came to being that guy that everyone rallied around.

But, I've been a fan of Duke bball since Danny Ferry.

Gotcha. Battier was a winner and leader. I used to love that Dawkins, Amaker, Bilas, Alarie, Ferry team around '86

That national championship game against Ellison and Lville is actually the first college bball game I can remember watching and getting into, I was 8. It was the same time I started being old enough to care about the Vols, with the Sugar Bowl a few months prior.
