Is this true? I tried finding info on their injury situation because I heard they were banged up, and all I saw was that he was a game time decision vs Vandy.
The poster I talked to seemed to think it was a partial shoulder separation and that he was doubtful. I haven't seen anything else on it but that's what the guy I talked to believed.
ETA: Sounds like this somewhat confirms he's been dealing with a shoulder issue but I don't know if it got worse this week or not:
I think you're stretching for the most part here, Hank. I'm not saying I think he's better than Pruitt or Mullen, because I don't. I'm not really taking into consideration Smart's first year, which wasn't terrible. Unless you're Urban Meyer, guys don't just come in and set the woods on fire in their first year. Looking at Smart's actual on field results for the last two years, I really don't see how folks could objectively say he's overrated, or hasn't proven he's an upper tier coach. If Jeremy Pruitt won the SEC in his second year, beat a team like Oklahoma in the playoffs, lost the national title on a 3rd and 25, won the east and went 11-1 again in his third season, Tennessee fans would worship the ground he walked on and fight anyone who said he was overrated or wasn't a top tier coach.2016:

So in 13 games so far where i would say a Kirby team didnβt have a for sure talent advantage he has lost 6 of those... I definitely donβt think he is a bad coach by any means but he doesnβt scare me at all. Especially not with Chaney as OC. I could be wrong going forward but i will take my chances on Pruitt and Mullen over him now that they have comparable programs.
