I think you're stretching for the most part here, Hank. I'm not saying I think he's better than Pruitt or Mullen, because I don't. I'm not really taking into consideration Smart's first year, which wasn't terrible. Unless you're Urban Meyer, guys don't just come in and set the woods on fire in their first year. Looking at Smart's actual on field results for the last two years, I really don't see how folks could objectively say he's overrated, or hasn't proven he's an upper tier coach. If Jeremy Pruitt won the SEC in his second year, beat a team like Oklahoma in the playoffs, lost the national title on a 3rd and 25, won the east and went 11-1 again in his third season, Tennessee fans would worship the ground he walked on and fight anyone who said he was overrated or wasn't a top tier coach.
