The thing with Kessling, IMO, is his inflection and word choice. I've defended him and I think the jokes are lame - low hanging fruit as someone said. I'm fine with it though. He's better than a lot of others. (Braves fans like to rag Joe Simpson and Chip Caray. Both are better than the majority of other team's announcers.) I don't recall but Kessling may have been Ward's pick as a successor. There was story on WNML in last couple of months where Kessling said he had decided to leave for a job at UK before he graduated from UT. He sat down with John Ward and Ward told him he would be crazy to leave before he graduated - the best part of your life, he said, or something to that effect.

Anywho, how bout this crootin class!?

GBO.

Say what you want Kesling’s voice means Tennessee football is on. He’s kinda of synonymous with it at this point. I agree with someone else said he’s good at Basketball.

Feel the same way at this point. He's been at it for 20 years. Might as well let him have another decade and retire here. I actually think he's pretty good overall. He has a great broadcasting voice.

Fun Fact

Pruitt was not happy at the play call from Helton for the end around by Jordan Murphy and gave him an earful for it. Helton went with it anyway and the play got 59 yards.

When your boss can yell and scream at you and you still have the confidence to go with your gut, you have a good relationship.

Tennessee commitments, targets on move in updated Top247

Why are all our guys slipping in ranking? Nobody committed moved up but Roman Harrison. I know rankings are like feelings they aren’t facts, but that overall class rankings seems to be an indicator of something to recruits and media. Need a commit from a big fish like soon. I’m jonesing.

Regardless of their overall ranking they look pretty darn great individually;

DE NOLAN SMITH - No. 1 overall prospect, No. 1 weakside defensive end
RB JOHN EMERY JR.- No. 2 running back
WR JADON HASELWOOD - No. 1 wide receiver
LB OWEN PAPPOE - No. 1 outside linebacker
OT WANYA MORRIS - No. 2 offensive tackle
OT DARNELL WRIGHT - No. 5 offensive tackle
LB HENRY TO'OTO'O - No. 3 outside linebacker
DE JUSTIN EBOIGBE - No. 6 strongside defensive end
DE/LB KHRIS BOGLE - No. 3 weakside defensive end
ATH QUAVARIS CROUCH - No. 2 athlete
CB MAURICE HAMPTON - No. 11 cornerback
RB ERIC GRAY - No. 1 all-purpose back
WR RAMEL KEYTON - No. 17 wide receiver
OG EJ NDOMA-OGAR - No. 5 offensive guard
DE JOSEPH ANDERSON - No. 12 strongside defensive end
