Fun Fact

Pruitt was not happy at the play call from Helton for the end around by Jordan Murphy and gave him an earful for it. Helton went with it anyway and the play got 59 yards.
And said he was glad that he (Helton) didnt listen to him.

Hes a coach that doesnt mind admitting when hes wrong, and doesnt care who gets the credit. He flat out just wants to win.

And I think we may finally be on pace for something special with this coach. It was plain pretty early with the last 2 coaches what we were gonna get. And early signs look promising with Pruitt.

Feel the same way at this point. He's been at it for 20 years. Might as well let him have another decade and retire here. I actually think he's pretty good overall. He has a great broadcasting voice.
Tennessee should construct a nice retirement package for him to retire.....

at the end of this season and let him ride off in to the sunset. Hes terrible. Great person, but a great play by play guy he is not.

Of course it’s all contingent on how much HE wants to continue playing football. Being aware of your narrative on him, we won’t need to ask how you’re voting. 😉
I could see him going either way, really.

Just not sure I see him as having the alpha type of personality to need to make the most out of an extra year and make an impact somewhere (at least where football is concerned).

I’m sure he’ll do well in whatever his calling turns out to be. Seems like a kid with a good head on his shoulders. I just never got the sense that he had the drive to be a great football player the way some others do is all.

I like kesling. His problem is he followed a legend. Just like you didn't want to be the coach following Fulmer, phil Jackson, bear Bryant, pat summit, Saban, etc. you will be judged by legendary bar

My theory is that Kesling has BVS and just can't get excited anymore because he just figures we are going to screw it up one way or the other. He used to have decent calls, but they have gone downhill of late. BVS is real.

Of course a national championship would solve that as there is precedent for him to retire. 🤣

Yes sir lived here my whole life, 1996 graduate. What about you?

2006 graduate. My family still lives there. Reasonable chance we know each other given the size of the town (until recently). I now go home and don’t know anyone haha

Always said that. If you go back and look at how classes pan out you can basically group them into 3 tiers:

1-7
8-15
16-25
Agreed here for the most part, but there are exceptions. Occasionally the top class is a step above others. Clemson has had come classes that were 11-15, but only because they took like 15 guys who were all 4-5 stars. Those classes should have been ranked highlier, but recruiting rankings are wonky sometimes.

Kesling screwing up the names so frequently is pretty inexcusable. If he continues to do that or gets even worse, he needs to go.

How in the world is Kentucky at No. 17 in the CFB playoff picture? I guess wins over No. 13 and No. 21. But they obviously aren’t paying attention. Kentucky is in the 20-25 range.

Oh yea they are def exceptions especially when you look at some of the coaches.

Mike leach, Chris Peterson, Mullen at Miss St, Kyle wittingham are a few that come to my head that simply just get more out of their recruiting rankings than most do.

I want UK ranked as high as possible. As a program, they're no threat but as a quality win keeping a high rank only helps us.

Yep. Need to put Kesling on a name screw up count. Five screw ups in a single game and he’s done. If they happen all in the first half well then don’t let him come back after halftime. Maybe count circumstances when he catches and corrects himself mid-name as a half screw up and tabulate from there.
