Those are neurological adaptations, it’s your body’s efficiency at performing a task. It returns quick. If your protein was adequate, you likely didn’t lose any muscle in that time frame at allI've been lifting regularly for about 8 months or so now. Missing 4-5 days in a row and then noticing slight strength losses is the most disheartening stuff ever. But it does make me never want to miss a workout.
Question for you nick... I want to lose a little belly fat but I don't want to lose the weight I've picked up in my thighs/legs. Any suggestions?
I lost 37 pounds in about 4 months this year with intermittent fasting. I have 2 alarms on my phone - one at 8pm to stop eating (you can still drink water) and one at noon that noon that tells me time for lunch. In essence, eating for 8 hours and fasting for 16 hours. It completely changed my body type and cut tons of visceral fat (my biggest problem). Studies say that fasting is actually really good for you in lots of other ways. I didn't change what I ate during my eating time for the first month or two and the pounds still came off. Starting with the third month, I started taking out some of the carbs (definitely not all). It is super easy and after the first 2-3 weeks, breakfast cravings go away.Spot reduction of fat is showing very slightly in the literature, but to a tiny degree.
Super simplified... keep protein at at least .8 grams per pound of body weight each day, reduce carbs and/or fat to a level that keeps you sane, continue to lift heavy with most work being done in the 12-6 repetition range
Basically, you diet and it comes off wherever it comes off, based on your genetics. For men, typically lower back and love handles are last to go... aside from getting shredded upper thighs and glutes... which is next level

Thanks!! I definitely noticed that I wanted to eat a little better once the weight started coming off and I saw actual results. I guess for me it is now just a lifestyle change as I am not sure I want to go back to eating the way I did before. Fat boy tendencies creep back real easy!!Great results! I did IF for a year and a half. Some people subconsciously eat less when doing it, others binge during eating windows. Ultimately it’s what you eat, not when you eat that is 80% of the work.

Planned?Man, I hope we hold this class together and don't have any guys just playing this staff. I still remember the Walker deal from last year and some of the crap that went down during the Fulmer years. Some kids these days just like the attention of making a staff look bad. I also wonder if these 5 star guys dumping Georgia is planned. We'll see soon enough.
