Am i insane for thinking we could compete for the east next year? Obviously wouldn’t be dominant, but UGA isn’t who we thought they were IMO
I don’t think it’s insane but it is a bit of a reach. Maybe we will have a chance if Georgia is not who we thought they would be ( still very good) and Florida just treading hopefully we will continue to improve every week

Final class prediction.... 26 people (One source says we take 27, another says we take 25. I'll split the difference)

Offense total 11

QB (1)- Brian Maurer
Don't think Tagliavowels or anyone else comes. Roll with Maurer and develop his natural talents.

RB (1)- Eric Gray
I think Gray stays in state. Only back we take this year but we leave Banks at RB as a result.

WR (2)- Keyton, Khafre
Keyton has been a cornerstone the whole time, think we get a speed injection with Khafre who likely needs a year or two before he gets regular receiver run, but spends the interim as a jack of all trades offensive player - lining up in the backfield, etc at times.

TE (2)- Lowe and Brown

OL (5)- Morris, Wright, Lampley, McBride, Akporoghene

Defense total 15

DL (6) - Logue, Williams, Harrison, Middleton, Simmons, Eboigbe
Rolling with the Logue flip based on AV's post from earlier. Think we get Eboigbe from AU as well.

LB (4)- Henry, Pappoe, Marshall, Clemmons
Some might be surprised we keep clemmons but he's a talented player IMO and I think he has a solid career for us.

CB (3)- Fields, Burrell, Watson

S (2)- McCoullough, Harris

Notes - This is really hard to do, getting down the final numbers. It's not that easy to just cut some of our current commits because almost all of them earned offers off of camps. Clemmons is a guy CJP compared to Ryan Anderson at UA. Harrison is blowing up. Simmons is a physical freak.
Harris gives us a little flexibility in case we need another receiver. VQ has suggested the staff might give him a look there as well.

Overall, said and done, our head coach is a defensive guy and I think his first priority is going to be giving the defensive staff plenty of new toys this class - hence the heavy defensive lean on numbers.

Light on RB, but Banks will be only a sophmore, Fil-Aimes will be a senior, Ty Chandler and Tim Jordan will only be juniors.

Light on QB but heading into 19, we'll have Guarantano (rJR), Shrout (rFR), and Mauer. Not ideal. Crap we might need to seek a gt qb.

I'm noticing no Aaron Beasley here. Intended or accidental?

We'll be in a good place if we flip both Eboigbe AND Logue along the DL. I'd be happy with one or the other, tbh.

And this also counts five(!) flips-- Gray, Pappoe, Watson, Eboigbe, and Logue. I can't tell if that's overly optimistic or if we have the recruiters we thought we did. It'd be amazing to snipe players from top schools like Michigan, UGA, Bama, and Texas.

I haven't said anything before, but I've lost close to 50lbs since May doing Keto. I eat whatever I want on most weekends, and I eat more protein than most folks do on Keto, so I haven't lost any strength. It is weird though, I will plateau for several weeks, and then drop 5lbs in a few days.

I really don't think of it as a diet, It is just the way I live now.
Keto really works. I started September 1st and have lost 30 lbs.

Until they start winning again, I’m not sticking Texas in the group of big time schools. They are Conference USA until they beat somebody.

Oklahoma ain't nobody.

Pruitt's trajectory is actually looking similar to Tom Herman's with the Longhorns so far. Good but limited 1st class when he came in, 7-6 first year to reverse recent losing trend, then knocks it out of the park with his second class (top 5). They are going to be at least 8-4 this season with a win over their biggest rival, and very possibly 9-3. I'd take that for Pruitt's second year in a heartbeat.

Hard to justify a loss against Maryland, but OKSt is always dangerous and WVU is lights out this year. Three losses by a combined 8 points in Year 2 is not awful.
