Two wins against Alabama- one with Bo Wallace. Went to a Sugar Bowl from the West.

He is what he is as a person, and I know someone who had him as a teacher. Some don't like him. But he's proven to be a very good (great?) offensive coach. He doesn't have to actively recruit because his offense will generate interest. UT doesn't have to do what OM did to allure recruits; just do what UT does. I think it would be a great hire.

Amid the coaching search, I actually threw Sumlin out there. But, I was on the Mehlin train, too.

Freeze was at Ole Miss pulling in top 10 recruiting classes and beating Alabama... Sumlin was at A&M and failed. Sumlin was a HC prospect and Freeze is a OC prospect. BIG difference.
