Iirc during Grudenmonium 2017 it was mentioned that Jon had made a stop in Raleigh for a meeting with Drinkwitz. Completely unrelated to the UT job opening obviously but perhaps Drinkwitz may be highly thought of in the coaching community. Pruitt needs to bring the good Reverend Freeze to Knoxville though. He is the one man who can resurrect the offense.

Knowing how much people talk about how poorly Butch handled player expectations and the toxicity of locker rooms during his tenure, I don't think you can blame any players.

Hell yes you can. You don't quit on your teammates. He did just that. I don't wish him ill. I hope he has a successful career in whatever field he ends up in. I will forever consider him a quitter.

I was there. I was actually paying attention to this, because I expected Pruitt to be pissed about it. However, they seemed friendly, shook hands, and each went their own way. Mason did get the Gatorade bath right before they shook hands though.

I remember it on the broadcast. It seemed pretty amicable.
