But if he can mix his principles with the Friend/bobo/Richt stuff it could work. Look at UGA last yr and Bama this yr. he consulted UGA during several wks last yr on gameplan vs opponents he was familiar with. Apparently bama took some of his stuff and put it in this yr after he met with them this offseason

I want him as the OC. He’s the best candidate by far. The offense next season would be night and day difference. He’s good at making use with whatever personnel he has.

So why did it not really work with Helton?

I’m not just gonna say “it didn’t work”. It was just off.

I think Helton was in a tough spot with less than mediocre QB play and/or OL play for the majority of the season so that limited with either of them wanted to do. But i just think stuff was off all year. But he still wasn’t very creative or consistent. Then Both QBs getting so many 1st team reps to me in practices and scrimmages was odd to me the whole time and it’s even more odd when we saw how little KC played so why even waste so many reps on him. Then starting out in the booth then winding up on the field. Then not really playing KC when you would normally play a back up like in blowouts against etsu, or something but just in the middle of the bama game for really no reason.

Idk something was just off the whole time in my opinion. I think they were just split on a lot of things

Honestly don't blame them if they split first team reps. Hell JG was a dead man On any play at any moment in game

Not sure why everyone assumes Pruitt just wants some slow, boring ultra conservative offense. The guy went for more onside kicks in one season than I can ever remember. He just wants to win.

Always appreciated the toughness McBride showed getting thrown in against Mizzou last season. I wonder if the kid will look at Western Kentucky as a landing spot?
