I’m sorry, I want someone who’s gone against the best of the best. Like Lindsey or Freeze. Unless it’s Clemson, the ACC doesn’t compare. We need a seasoned play caller who won’t be intimidated by the Bamas and Georgia’s of the world. JMO...

Yeah I'd prefer those two over drink. I don't want him I was just laughing that yeah he is dorky looking

Lol, would be an insane route to go, but the guy is supposed to be an elite offensive mind
I agree. But i think if you’re gonna do a move like that, you have to do it right after Helton leaves. You can’t “search” around for a week then end up promoting him. The optics of that would throw a lot of people off

Y’all think Pruitt is crazy enough to give Osovet the OC job?

Not sure what the rules are on needing a BS/BA degree to be a member of a full time staff, but his bio only mentions him as a graduate of Nassau CC. May be just poorly worded to not include what type of degree he has, but is a bachelors degree a requirement for a full time staff member?

For educational purposes for me only. I have no issues with that aspect of it either way.

I believe it wouldn’t work because Pruitt would have to be too involved with the O. His offense is like 90% RPO or something crazy. It would drive Pruitt nuts after the first 3 and out with no time off the clock. I believe he wants to hand the keys over to an experienced guy

I think the preference would be to gradually bring him along into that role. That is a move he can make once Pruitt is established not while building. For instance if a freeze or Lindsey comes in for 2 yrs then you could make an easier transition to a weinke/osovet type once they have been in full time asst role a few yrs assuming they don't get plucked by someone.

Personally if possible I'd move Neids to a full time recruiting gig and Lilly or osovet into full time role on field

If EdO has a 4 year degree......

You think Pruitt has any reservations with Freeze other than his image? I'm not sure the two philosophies mix all that well.

As much as I’d like to have Freeze, his system is a little finesse, and Pruitt wants a physical offense. Ole Miss struggled to run the ball throughout his tenure. Ofcourse, he could use the pass to open up the running game, but it was never consistent.

Given the personnel we already have and the OLine struggles, Freeze could work wonders with the receivers we have. His system relies on getting rid of the football quickly.

Not really. I think it’s other people and the conference. Hugh best bama twice while at OM and put up numbers doing it. Everyone thinks Pruitt just wants this slow methodical offense but i honestly don’t see it. I think he’s aggressive and likes to take shots and get stuff going. So i don’t think style is an issue at all.

I do remember Ole Miss struggling to run the ball. I mean his offense tore a lot of people up, but you better have an offense that can run the football with this head coach.

But if he can mix his principles with the Friend/bobo/Richt stuff it could work. Look at UGA last yr and Bama this yr. he consulted UGA during several wks last yr on gameplan vs opponents he was familiar with. Apparently bama took some of his stuff and put it in this yr after he met with them this offseason

So why did it not really work with Helton?
