Dean is an EE and will be announcing in a few weeks. If he picks UA, I think UT is in the drivers seat for Henry.

yep. and i just go back to the spring/summer when OP was all about UGA, talking about how comfortable it is for him and how he knows everyone, and he doesn't even cosider going over there as a "visit" as much as just hanging out with buddies etc....

not to throw a wet blanket on this cause i do think we've done the work here.

but it is recruiting. stuff happens.

I have to laugh at the whiners about UT recruiting basketball talent in the past. Perhaps the cookie cutter method misses on quite a few guys who are equally talented, gifted and hungry. They just need developed by real coaches. Enter CRB/staff with Grant, Admiral, Kyle, Jordan, Yves, etc. Bruce had his own version of that back in his day here, which is why he is being successful at Auburn now.

Which should be the MO for CJP and football. Sure, sign all the elite you can get. Just remember to get your share like those above who work themselves into their best selves and are great teammates. It will take a few years, but the long term benefit is worth it.

But the OC has to be the right guy.

If it’s Freeze, we need to prepare for national outrage. I was opposed to Schiano because I thought he sucked as a coach and was Butch Jones 2.0. His personality is awful. Don’t get me wrong, I hated the fact that his name was linked to PSU and that made me not want him even more. But no one will care. It will be all about our hypocrisy. But I say, who cares. Damned if we do, damned if we don’t. Might as well do.

Game coach. His clock management has been awful at times as he should have beaten us in regulation.
