he is taking a pretty tough stance here. talking about he wouldn't let his sone play for TN if Freeze was on the staff.
i think it's A LOT hypocritical for someone to just axe the possibliyt of 2nd chances, i mean, you don't even get the attempt w/Ainge apparently. and yeah, given his past, you'd think he'd have a different perspective on being able to overcome and be better off in the end. Even if Ainge relapsed, is he gonna be trying to get kids to do them?
weird to hear him be this adamant about it....especialy since it is him. i don't get it. and he's going completely unchecked..........
Or, it could be like having your cake and eating it too. We hire Freeze but our local media acts like we didn’t want the hire. That way we get plausible deniability in hiring him as a fan base but still get the good results. It’s the beauty of hypocrisy.Ainge is probably trying to be a poison pill here at the behest of the university. The administration knows what the fan base would like to see, the big flashy hire. They most likely won't travel that path and are using Ainge to quell the enthusiasm for Freeze.
Now we’re equating a substance addiction with hiring hookers for 17 and 18 year olds?Ainge just said he wouldn't let his son play for Freeze! Ainge of all people who has had issues in the past. I'm sure he's changed his life and I'm glad. But that's a wierd stance from someone in his position in my opinion.
I just don't get it.....
Drug abuse/addiction is not a victimless crime. I couldnt possibly stress this enough so I won't even try.I don’t see it as apples to apples.
I think Ainge’s drug abuse was a victimless crime. I personally wouldn’t be worried that my adult son being around him now would be at risk of being influenced to use drugs by him. I can’t even think how that might happen outside some extreme unlikely scenario.
As for Freeze, his probalem is morality. I despise those fake Christian hypocrites and I don’t want that person to be a role model for my kid unless I know they’ve changed.
My step-father was a recovered addict and he was the greatest Influence on my life, so I am obviously a bit biased too

Lol not the same at all. Running a sleezy program that pays players and shows them a good time like every other program...
Or being associated at all with a child rape scandal.....
Yup it’s the same
You could be right. I was always under the impression that you couldn't stop the clock.Jarrett Stidham’s didn’t. Paid his own way at McLennan Community College and didn’t lose any eligibility. He was hotly recruited after Baylor tho. Not sure McBride would benefit from sitting without being able to practice and develop.
How do we think his open Trump support would be used against him in inner city Atlanta?Something to remember about Leach and the possibility of GT is GT's relatively recent history of big-time receivers....Could you imagine Calvin Johnson or Demaryius Thomas in an Air Raid system? Good gracious.
I think he would be able to get that type of athlete and more at GT just because of location.
I have no doubt that's the way the media would spin it if Saban were to hire Freeze. If we hired Freeze the backlash of negative media wouldn't last long. And it would turn into a comeback story of a family man who just wants to coach young men to be better than himself, Americans love that stuff. Especially when we start winning big games. It'll be a featured story on game day by Tom Rinaldi - "A once troubled coach turned his life around with the support of Fulmer, Pruitt and the Tennessee fanbase. It's paying huge dividends in Freeze's family, community and a proud Tennessee program which is now back at the top of the CFB world. Back to you, Kirk..."
