Lol not the same at all. Running a sleezy program that pays players and shows them a good time like every other program...

Or being associated at all with a child rape scandal.....

Yup it’s the same

Again, the national media will definitely see it as hypocritical. Not saying Freeze isn't worth it but if we bring him in get ready for a storm of the TN fanbase are hypocrites.

In the spirit of hiring the exact opposite coach of whom you just had, it’s clear that GT will go after Leach. No one could be more opposite of Paul Johnson’s philosophy and personality
What would make Leach want to leave Washington State for Georgia Tech?

somebody's going to hire him. and it's probalby going to be somebody in the SEC.

all you gotta decide is if the juice is wotht he squeeze. and i'm willing to bet at least one of our main rivals will find out.

Rev Freeze gonna bring NCAA sniffing around. I think Pruitt plays it safe with Lindsay or Drinkwitz

I don’t understand this sentence at all. It’s like a talking point for those who are opposed to hiring him. He’s paid his time and served his suspension. And as an assistant, he will he kept in check if hired. Title 9 is done, AJ has been cleared and our legacy coach is the new AD. To the NCAA, we’re as clean as a kickers jersey.

I don’t care about national media. Even if it’s warranted and an absolute sh** storm ...it will be over and forgotten in a week. Just like the urban meyer stuff.

the only thing i'll say to this is..........................Schiano never got fired, and still has a job, and no one is seeking to change that.

Freeze got fired, doesnt' have a job, and people will actively try to prevent him from working.

it ain't the same....but.........it ain't the same........................know what i mean?

I agree. The media should prepare for the backlash from Vol Twitter, though. Might want to turn notifications off for a spell.

Exactly. I can’t stand Urban Cryer. He gets away with everything. And Freeze being an assistant and not the HC, is drastically different. I doubt he’d do it, it I think it’d be a great move to do some kind of interview with Herbie or some other college analyst and just talk about what he learned and what he’s done to reconcile with his wife and family. I’ve always thought that if politicians, athletes and others who’ve had allegations against them would just address them immediately, you’d removed the ammo from your enemies.

I totally get it and you’re right. I just think it shows the wishy washyness of the ncaa. I just want to win man, within reason. Violence against women and children is basically the only thing that would stop me from hiring someone...aside from the run of the mill coach/serial killer

No matter what, the hire will be criticized. No matter what, someone in the national media is going to crap all over our fan base (mostly because we are one of the most active on social media). No matter what, certain media members are going to be over judgemental of us because we didn’t take the spoonful of Schiano that they were paid to feed us. I could give a damn if the national media calls us hypocrites. They were going to judge the hire anyways, we might as well get the guy who made Bo Wallace look like a damn All-SEC player.

Right.

Because one was proven guilty of what they were accused of and for the other, the total amount evidence against him was one guy said once Schiano knew about some stuff, who later recanted that statement.

Well in my opinion Ainge shouldn't be throwing stones. Some parents may not like his past issues.

i think we're on the same page, but you get in in to some deep water when you start playing this game on what's worse, and what's more hypocritical........

hiring freeze comes with baggage. no one can really refute that. the only thing that matters is are you willing to carry it?

What about coitus with a carcharodon carcharias?

2018 attention spans...they don't last long.

I can almost imagine how Pruitt will respond if they try to badger him on the issue.

he is taking a pretty tough stance here. talking about he wouldn't let his sone play for TN if Freeze was on the staff.

i think it's A LOT hypocritical for someone to just axe the possibliyt of 2nd chances, i mean, you don't even get the attempt w/Ainge apparently. and yeah, given his past, you'd think he'd have a different perspective on being able to overcome and be better off in the end.

weird to hear him be this adamant about it....especialy since it is him. i don't get it. and he's going completely unchecked..........

for all their talk on fan run about what does and doesn't help the program, i can't honestly believe that them pusshing their own personal agenda like this is considered "helping the program".

they're full of it over there. i like Ainge, but we are on opposite sides big time on this one.

Ainge is probably trying to be a poison pill here at the behest of the university. The administration knows what the fan base would like to see, the big flashy hire. They most likely won't travel that path and are using Ainge to quell the enthusiasm for Freeze.

Pretty cool. Will is a great kid. Wonder is WSU was the pac 12 school, losing Minshew (sp?) this year.

Would make sense. Not sure why Jimmy floated the JUCO route. That doesn’t save him any eligibility...unless he enrolled in one without a football program.
