No information that his family has a sickness or any other humanitarian reasons. My guess is he transfers to Memphis and sits out his year and is ready to go as a redshirt junior.

Aren’t most staff contracts only 2 yrs then they add 1 yr extensions at the end of the season. Basically they always are on a 2 yr contract

Jimmy Hyams tweeted something to the effect that he may attend JUCO over the summer, graduate and be eligible at a FBS school next fall...ain’t happening.

Yep! What's another million a year? Have to invest to get a return... and, it will most likely be a short-term investment. He will be a head coach again.

Trey Wallace said today that Freeze wants the Auburn job because him and Gus are buddies. If that job becomes available, Freeze would pick them over us apparently. If so, then Lindsey it is I’d say. But if not it seems that the top 2 are Freeze and Lindsey. Which does coach want? Or, if Locksley takes the Maryland job and Saban hires Freeze, does Pruitt go after Enos. Any of those three are great options imo. Freeze just seems like a game changer

Freeze can want the AU job all he wants but until it comes open, it’s not even a discussion.

I don’t really care if we get him TBH. At the risk of having tomatoes thrown at me, I think he’s overrated. His best traits were assembling and inspiring some swag-filled talented dudes. He won’t have the same systemic inspiration and encouragement as an assistant.
