To start with the immediate stuff. I haven’t heard anything at all today but that is also because I have been out of pocket today myself. I can tell you this with 100% confidence...when I posted last night a decision had been made by JP at some point Sat night/Sun morning who we wanted to hire and that the wheels would be set in motion to make that happen. I am not sure if anything has changed since then because again I haven’t been in contact today with folks. But again the sense of what I got was that things would get set in motion today or at the latest tuesday. So perhaps everyone should sit back and take a deep breath. I also didn’t allude to who coach had decided on because that isn’t my place to leak that kind of information before it is leaked to the folks who need to know...I can’t upset the apple cart in that capacity.

I can understand where @Kingston Vol is coming from but I have to ask, do you believe he deserves a second chance? If so why is Tennessee better than any other school to not give him that second chance?

To be honest, I’m cool if he never gets a second chance.

I know he will because he’s a good football coach. And that’s fine too. Just prefer we’re not the program giving him that chance.

I think this was all too quiet over wknd to all of a sudden all media members had info today for it not to be the PR machine rolling.

Now you have the situation that if you don't hire him you get bad pub as well.so if anyone had pushback they are feeling some heavy pressure today.

If there isn't legit pushback this could be the way of Pruitt and Fulmer taking on full responsibility and allowing the admin to put on a "show" of pushback.

Unfortunately we do so many dumb things we probably just screw it up

Hearing stories like this me realize getting all worked up over a coaching search is not very important in the grand scheme of things. May God you you and your family as well as the other family.

Yep. I'm not immune to the drama, I get worked up too, for sure, but I just don't take this stuff as seriously as I once did.

That said, I'll be highly disappointed if Freeze is hired by another program.

TBH if I am Freeze, I'm not dealing with UT's bullsh**. I'd just go to Bama or Auburn or FSU. They would get back to national relevance faster anyway.

Does it matter? I think he would be a massive failure here at this point in his career. I don't want to get in a dumb stat war with you over it because you can pull all kinds of stats to make an argument for him. We need a master, not an apprentice for this massive job. At least with Enos I feel like we would be getting that.
