Even if that exact scenario happens you still wouldn't know if it's true. It's just an indicator. People switch commitments all the time for all kinds of reasons. Usually their own personal ones that have nothing to do with the scenario a stranger came up with.

Quoting AV: I suspect that there will be either smoke or an announcement made tomorrow or tuesday....just depends on how long it takes for them to wrap up the contractual items up and get the PR machine cranked up....Something this big I have to let the boys let it play out like it needs to my friend...No need for me to piss anyone off....If something hasn’t been announced by tuesday then I will suspect there was an “internal” issue...to which I refuse to even get involved with anymore after the coaching search extravaganza.

I know Basilio isn’t for everyone, but what part of that do you disagree with? He’s far from the only person I’ve seen making that first argument, and the second part has been discussed quite a bit here already. Does it sound all that unreasonable to you that there are some people in the admin that are raising questions over the Briarcrest stuff?

i don't think we can say that's true. we've only been talking about the same 3-4 candidates for over a week.

likely there are others on his list. especially if he cooled on Lindsey and isn't sure about Freeze.

i doubt they're sitting around looking at each other wondering what to do.

You interview Freeze to do your due diligence. Thats how you make an informed decision on the man.

You let Lindsey walk because he wasn't the answer.

You go on recruiting because Alabama and Georgia sure aren't taking days off.
