either way, and i probably misspoke by saying "more baggage" in my original post.

just that perception being what it is, there's little to sepearate the basic issues surrounding either guy. and i don't see how moving on from freeze, to briles, is "better" from a perception standpoint.

which is all i'm getting at. i'm not trying to argue validity or anything. but what people say about it apparently is important, so i don't see how you move on to briles with at least similar title ix issues and draw a line and say "we're good here, but not over there"...lol.
I don't like the thoughts of hiring Briles more from a moral standpoint, I just feel Freeze isn't going to be our OC and Briles is a good offensive mind so I wonder why we wouldn't contact him, I just want to start winning and to win we've got to score more, which is a fact we all obviously can appreciate because if that were not the case there wouldn't have been so much pro-Freeze talk over the last couple days

ok, so that's how you feel about it.

personally i don't have an issue with hiring freeze. from all i've seen, he seems to understand what he did and seems to be taking appropriate steps in his life to be better for it.

don't know enough about briles to say one way or hte other. just to say that no one has actively tried to prevent him from working again, so that's probably a good sign....lol.

You think it's going to be Freeze? Or is Haslam (my guess) going to put a stop to it?
Its either Freeze or they are starting over IMO.
I think Freeze was Pruitts choice. Im just not sure if the hold up is UT doing its due diligence and finding something they didn't like or Pruitt is waiting to see what all his options are first. Im going with the later.

I don't know of a crime that can be committed with those facts. If you want to call it a type of sexual harassment at school, maybe.

...and one small fact being left out could make a huge difference. For instance, I had the thought that there might have been cubicles or something for her to get behind... Still might have been a bit sketchy, but it does make a difference. That, along with her having a shirt on underneath, makes it a totally different story.

Her bra probably covered more than her bikini top would and there wouldn't be any issue if that were the case since she could walk thru walmart in a bikini and no one would say a word. The deal of it happening in his office is the issue and the stigma of it being her "underwear". He should have sent her to a female teacher's office. Poor judgement on his part.

Or send her to the girls bathroom and wait till she comes out changed. If it happened in the first place.

I don’t believe any of the BS about his past being a sticking point. There is no way that UT is the only school that wouldn’t hire the guy if all that stuff was true. You’re telling me that Auburn, Liberty, Alabama and FSU are willing to overlook pedophilia? ********.

I would like to add some input on the briar Crest situation... I have a child in middle school at briarcrest. There is a uniform rule.. period. Collared shirts. Now on some fridays they are allowed to wear a tshirt over them if they pay 2.00$.

Now, most offices are not private at all , and even if he stepped outside, doesnt matter. Numerous people can still see. Hugh would have to be a fool , to stay in there if she didnt have uniform shirt under it.. the collar would show, so it was most likely taking off a pullover jacket..

I believe his past is the sticking point. It’s the only thing that makes any sense. Nobody else is hiring him either at the moment, but several are reportedly interested. There are no other names on our board; we will reportedly “start over” if we don’t hire Freeze.

I do think it is about his past. I just don’t think it is about pedophilia as much as stories like this girl having to change her shirt — i.e., stories that seem very inappropriate without being criminal, etc.

no one has hired him....yet.

it's a question anyone that hires him will have to answer....well, maybe not that specifically, but to say there'll be htings that would have to be dealt with is probably an understatement.

Hubbs-

“No one has told me Freeze to Tennessee is dead.

I think there's more discussions/vetting taking place. In other words working through all the pros/cons/concerns to make a final decision on offering Freeze or not. That's based on what I'm hearing this afternoon.

I know the obvious question is why wasn't the vetting done last week. I don't know the answer to that.

But I don't think the Freeze discussion/possibility is dead.

FSU is looking for a decision from Freeze in the next 24 hours. Not sure where Freeze interest lies with Liberty.

I think Maryland makes a decision between Locksley and Pep Hamilton in the next 24-36 hours.

All of that is just one what I'm hearing talking to random sources.”

Someone wearing a bikini chooses to wear a bikini. They choose where and when they will wear it. They have control and can cover up any time they choose. That's a totally different scenario from being forced to take a shirt off in a teacher's office. There are completely different levels of power and vulnerability there.
