I think if UT had a "snag" with Freeze and didn't want to hire him for his baggage, you would be hearing more names and movement by now.

If Freeze doesn't end up here, I think he decided he would rather be at Bama. And I don't think it will be because of money either.

yep. there's only two things that make sense at this point.

1. he's our guy, no way we tell Chip Lindsey to start looking for houses in Lawrence if he's not.
2. Freeze pumped the brakes when news about Locksley possibly leaving Bama

and we just don't have a plan b, good bad or indifferent, so we wait and see.

I really have a hard time believing the hang up on Freeze is his marital infidelity. Taking everything we know, I think the most likely explanation is that they are doing an investigation (that should have been done weeks ago) into the Briarcrest stuff to make sure they don’t get blindsided (see what I did there?) by anything they don’t already know about. That’s why this seems to be in limbo, because it could still go either way, and we haven’t given Freeze a yes or no yet.

Taggert and Malzhan would be the main reasons Freeze hasn't taken those jobs. I seriously think if Tennessee wants him and Bama isn't in the hunt then we get him.
