everyone is on Trevor Lawrence jock but Ross was the difference maker on offense. He made TLs number look the way they were. TL is fantastic but Ross was unreal and he is not getting enough love from media

That kid showed precocious football savvy last night. It wasn't only the incredible catches, but his ability to gain separation by using his body (and various sneaky tricks) against older, more experienced competition. Hat tip to Mr. Ross.

I still find it funny that he's from Alabama. Everything about that game was a dick punch to Saban.

If you're interested in a Gundy style offense why haven't we heard these names...seem far more possible.

Tim Beckman (active HC at Illinois so maybe a reach)
Larry Fedora (HC experience & SEC experience)
Walt Bell (New UMass HC..but from TN! Not as proven as others though)
Jake Spavital (New Texas State HC...but has SEC & OC experience)
Kerwin Bell please. Almost wonder if dude doesn't have a skeleton in his closet causing him not to get bigger offers.

Has Sec (UF) experience as player and coach
Won div ii NC
Lead div Ii in offense
His son is his OC so it's clearly his playbook
Bowden and Spurrier vouched for him early on.

🤔...hmm, think it might be one of Freeze's escorts that died waiting on this OC hire?

If a young up and comer is mentioned people think we're not shooting high enough. Monken is mentioned and people whine that we're shooting too high. Nothing but big names mentioned lately and everyone complains that Pruitt is panicking. I think I see the common theme. No matter what happens there will be a lot of belly aching in here.

Most accurate post about this search.

I've realized being negative doesn't improve any situation, so I'm behind 100% whoever the hire is even without knowing who it is >.<

I think he is going to South Florida as OC

Ah, the ol’ bellyaching about the bellyaching post.

Half will talk about how great of a OC he is and the other half will complain about how stupid the hire is.

Either way, I'm ready for those conversations to start...

If you are a star gazer, you owe it to yourself to go back into the rating average for players of the classes for the past 5 seasons at Bama, Clemson and UT. It's a reality check on the effects of coaching and stability when you compare the results.

We have to get this OC thing done right.

What ends first, the government shutdown or our OC search?

Could it be the two are related in some way?

According to La Vol yes.

Only from the standpoint of advising Pruitt to talk to people and seek out ideas and advice from good offensive minds. And he counseled Pruitt on hiring someone who would represent the university well and be a good fit. Fulmer stressed the importance of everybody pulling in the same direction, which is a top-down focus at UT. Fulmer hasn't micromanaged the search. The timeline and anything slowing that down is all Pruitt.

Is the conference strategy really a thing? They said on The Nation the other night that Pruitt wouldn’t be there.
It’s basically a glorified meet and greet. I.e., agents and lower level coaches work media members into thinking they’re special so that they get special treatment and coverage down the line.

it's how we do.
