I’m not part of the cryfest from last night, but the irony that Bama was beaten for a NC in large part due to Butch’s failure to bring Higgins and Lawrence to Tennessee is just phenomenally wonderful.

A lot of offenses smoked us. Lol. But when I look at Clemson’s offense and Ga’s offense, I’d rather have Clemson’s ALL DAY. Just my take. For me, it’s a 7 out of 10. Good thing about Chaney is that he does bring stability and a lifetime coordinator. I doubt he moves again and that’s what Pruitt needs. So in that regard, it’s great. Hopefully he can mesh some innovation from Osevet into his playbook.

I’m with you on the scheme but i do think Chaney is a very good QB coach so hopefully he can help JG especially on throws down the field.

I will say, without the CFB Playoffs there’s no doubt the media would’ve deemed Bama National Champs this year after beating OU.

I don’t really like it as is, but the most deserving team is without a doubt the one true National Champion.

This hire is HUGE and you're exactly right, taking him from a divisional rival who's won the division last two years, is a statement and game changer for Pruitt and UT. BIG BIG BIG WIN today. It would be like if Taggart hired Venebles to be the DC at FSU.

Great hire for many reasons.

Biggest for me is Chaney is someone Pruitt can turn the offenses over to and not look back. Having someone he trusts is huge, and CJC brings that imo

That he is... I’m very happy about that. I hope all the interviewing of these spread guys was truly on purpose and done in order to innovate as well. Kiffin was on the 3HL yesterday before the game and he talked about how Saban saw the writing on the wall regarding the direction offenses were going and switched it up even though he hates it. I just don’t think the traditional pro style offense is going to be around in 10 years. It could become the next Wing T or option offense.
